Do you like seventies Westcoast & countryfolk music? We do too! We’re Tip Jar. We create songs with a seventies feel - on the hippie side of country.

Thanks for watching & welcome to our world, where we show you what being a musician couple is like.

We are Tip Jar, and we write and perform melodic songs on the hippie side of country, spiced up with some pop, folkrock and jazz influences. The band is an international collective of musical friends around Bart de Win and Arianne Knegt.

‘Tip Jar’s warm and infectious melodies are pulled from a vintage source, yet never sound too retro’ (Americana Highways, USA). The band truly ignites when their vocal powers combine, ‘kicking their sound into 70s Laurel Canyon/Rumours territory’ (Rock’n Reel Magazine, UK).

Looking back on a wonderful first night of the new music series ‘Flat Mountain in de Knop’. @tipjarsongs and @dustystrayofficial had the honor of playing this first edition and they did a great job. If you weren’t there you’ve surely missed something special! But not to worry: on November 25th we’ll be back in the @rozenknop_ehv with another exciting double bill: @merelsophiemusic and the @dietervanderwesten Trio. So make sure to put it in your calendar & get your tickets in time. See you there!

Thanks again to @ronaldrietman for the beautiful pictures!

We bring a beautiful new live album to the upcoming tour with Walt Wilkins, Bill Small, and Tip Jar’s Bart de Win & Arianne Knegt. These amazing pictures were taken by Josetta Mellies during the two live recording concerts at @d_rentmeester last year. Wonder in what town we will see you?

Last Sunday we played a Tip Jar duo concert at @koningezel in Lede, Belgium. We found a warm welcome, had a sweet afternoon of music & were served some great Belgian tripels!

Thank you @hilde_rottiers for the concert pictures! And Bart & Miep made friends with Princess, the promoter’s friendly boxer. taken in KoningEzel_Lede by @tipjarsongs
