Yesterday evening, Cynthia Thompson and I celebrated our birthdays the GirlTREK way, on the pavement with our Sisters! 💙👣

We invited our GirlTREK Mississippi family to come walk with us, and it truly felt like a family reunion. We walked, talked, laughed, and solved problems in real time. There was something so special about being together again.

To everyone who came out, THANK YOU! And to those who couldn’t make it, just know this is only the beginning. There will be many more opportunities for us to gather, reconnect, and get back to what makes this sisterhood so special.

We’re reconnecting one step and one sister at a time. 💙

And a BIG shout-out to our Alabama Sister, Tara Campbell who traveled over just to walk with us for our birthday! 🥹💙 We don’t take that kind of love and sisterhood lightly.

What a beautiful way to celebrate another year with our Sisters, on the pavement. 👣💙

Some of the most powerful things we do aren’t loud.

They look like closing the laptop.
Taking a deep breath.
Stepping outside for a walk.
Writing down what we’re carrying.
Choosing ourselves for twenty intentional minutes.

We’re excited to welcome you back to The Pause Practice.

Beginning this August, join us every Wednesday for a free 20-minute virtual wellness experience designed to help you rest, reflect, and reconnect with yourself.

This season, we’ve refreshed the experience with a monthly rhythm that makes practicing rest simple and sustainable.

Journal & Reflect with Be Well Black Girl @bewell_blackgirl

Movement with TLC @tlctreks

Sound Bath & Meditation with Soulcial Therapy @soulcialtherapy

Body Awareness & Breathwork with Black Women Rest @blackwomen.rest

Each month is centered around a guiding word, creating space to explore your well-being through reflection, movement, mindfulness, and community.

Our August word is Protection because your peace deserves to be protected.

Whether you’ve been with us before or you’re joining for the first time, there’s a place for you here.

One pause.
One practice.
Every Wednesday.

Tag a friend who could use a little more rest in her week, and join us August through December as we journal, walk, breathe, reflect, and restore.
