Delira and excira to be included in @photoireland @tlp_says ‘100 Views of Contemporary Ireland’, a collection of photographs, presented in the form of a postcard, by 100 contemporary photographers from Ireland.
•
“Viewers will discover a different Ireland through the incisive, playful, and poignant work of these artists. Gathered in this guise, the images aim to represent the complexities and charm of a growingly diverse country that has changed beyond recognition in the last decades. One that, having achieved outstanding social and political milestones, reflects on present challenges, and aspires to an ideal future.”
•
My photo was taken on the seafront in Bray Co. Wicklow last summer. Bray holds a special place in my heart as I spent a lot of time there as a kid. My mum is from Greystones, the next town over and my grandmother and some of my aunts all lived in Bray while I was growing up. It holds some magical memories and it was a real treat to walk the promenade again under glorious sunshine and to see the place packed with people enjoying the beach, the amusements and of course 99 ice creams!!!
•
Big bonus thrill to be included amongst so many amazing friends and inspirators incl. @conorhorgan @richgilligan @shanelynam @kennethohalloran @eamonn.doyle.d1 @elliusgrace and extra special thanks to @bohoe for inviting me to be a part.

The full set is available for purchase at tlp.photoireland.org

please consider buying something from local, independent bookstores during this time, if not just to support them but also to educate yourself on a new topic! I get a lot of my stuff from @tlp_says (favourite Irish store) and @rare_mags, highly recommend both 💕 If you need recommendations feel free to ask!

Hello, Aoife Herrity @aoifeherrity here, taking over the @mfaphotobelfast account for the next few days.

I’m a Dublin based photographer working on commissioned and personal projects.
This image is part of a recent project celebrating ten years of @photoireland. 100 photographers were invited to show their own view of our little island.

As much of my current work includes empty spaces near where I grew up, it felt fitting to have this image in the mix. It’s also lovely to be included with such a great list of photographers- including some of our fellow students from first year MFA!

If you’re cooped up at home check out the handles above and give them a follow if you don’t already. Also, all the images from the 100 views project are available as postcards from @tlp_says

TIME TO CELEBRATE & SUPPORT THE LIBRARY PROJECT
https://tlp.photoireland.org/
.
As you know, The Library Project will remain closed until the end of March, at least, to respect the Health and Safety recommendations by the government. The dreadful effect that this closure is having on our business and our 3 staff is very distressing.
.
As an independent bookshop, one of the only specialised Art bookshops in Ireland, The Library Project has always been a modest-in-size-but-hyper-active cultural hub, ambitious, and supporting the Arts.
.
Covering our basic running costs without the expected income will become a challenge very quickly, and we would rather keep working hard behind closed doors, processing and posting online orders, than let staff go. So we want to ask you to support us in this difficult time by purchasing from us online, whether it's a gift card or one of the many great publications.
.
To thank you for your support, we are offering:
-Free delivery in Co. Dublin for orders over €20
-Free delivery in Ireland for orders over €40
-We continue shipping worldwide.
-All orders will include great freebies

All orders placed in March will automatically take part in a raffle of:
-People of the Mud, by Luis Alberto Rodriguez
-Teeny Words, by Zero-G
-Set of 20 Postcards from 100 Views of Contemporary Ireland
.
The raffle will take place on 1st April, and the winner will be announced via Social Media and informed via email by 1pm that day.
.
To keep you inspired, we have made a special collection titled "Desert Island Booklist", where you can find recommended long reads to keep your mind challenged and engaged - and away from the temporary isolation we found ourselves in:
https://tlp.photoireland.org/collections/desert-island-booklist
.
But there are great publications and prints throughout the online shop.
.
Remember, when you buy your books at The Library Project, you are supporting our work to keep the Arts in Ireland thriving, as much as the individuals behind it.
❤️❤️❤️

100 Views of Contemporary Ireland is a collection of photographs by contemporary photographers in Ireland. Curated by @bohoe & @julia.gelezova at @tlp_says for the @stpatricksfestival which, due to our current global crisis is now cancelled. All the images are presented as postcards and are available to buy online (link in bio) and also in store when this all passes over!

Thanks @bohoe for getting me involved. Honoured to be amongst such talent!

Considering the current climate, it’s so nice to keep in mind what lovely communities we’re part of, including our creative ones. I was asked along with 99 other photographers to be part of 100 Views of Contemporary Ireland; a project that shows a more complex and nuanced view of our little island in postcard form. This project marks the 10th anniversary of @photoireland and all images are available to buy as postcards from the @tlp_says store online.
