Hellllloooooo Rosita here 👋🏼
How are you all doing out there? I’ve been back home at my new house which backs on to what seems like a fairytale woodland wonder. I promise to do some filming there as it’s so healing. Soul sisters @michelestodartofficial & @angelagangela & I had such an amazing time across Europe playing for all who came. It really was an incredible couple of weeks. We’ll post some more pics this week. In the meantime this fingerpicking floranthopist is getting ready to head back out on the road on a solo adventure in the UK on Thursday in Chatham @lightvessel21 I’m in Margate @whereelsespace with @lo__barnes on Friday & Hastings on Saturday @thepipercalls with friends @tmandhl & St Albans @hornvenue on Sunday. Please do come hang out with me as I will be on my Todd Rundgren 🙃
Very excited to play for you all

Another great review for a @bex_pop Studios production courtesy of Fatea Magazine.

"This is McClure at his most open, most assured, and most resonant. The Good and the Bad Of It doesn't just mark an evolution; it feels like the album he's been moving toward for years reflective, beautifully crafted, and deeply human."

'The Good And The Bad Of It' by Paul McClure - Rutland Troubadour, produced by Trevor Moss. @tmandhl

To the room above a pub where I've been to more gigs than any other venue and it's not even close to see my perennial favourites Trevor Moss and Hannah-Lou. According to the list I've compiled on the electric internet, this was my 20th time seeing them, which seems like a lot until I tell you I first saw them when my first born baby child was one and now she's 17. Anywho, it's been just long enough since I've seen them last that their two guitars and voices in harmony seem indistinguishable from magic. A fabulous set drawing from all corners of their back catalogue including a future album to be released on @loose_music. I first bought a record released by @tom__bridgewater in 1998, more than half a lifetime ago. Great music, great.

We'd like to say the biggest thank you to everyone who came from far and wide to pack out the hallowed upstairs room of @thebetseytrotwood last night for @loose_music @nashville_babylon.

We were really humbled to see so many familiar faces. We really appreciate it.

And what a pleasure it was to meet and hear @maraconnor who was our special guest for the evening. Hopefully we can open for you in the real Nashville someday.

We hope you had a good night, we certainly did, and let's do it again next year... with a new album!

It's in the can folks!

Mastering all done and dusted courtesy of the brilliant Dick Beetham at @360_mastering .

Dicks impressive CV includes over 50 UK No.1 singles and over 30 UK No.1 albums by everyone from Pet Shop Boys, Kylie, Loyle Corner, Van Morrison, KT Tunstall... and of course our last few albums. So you know it's going to sound it's best!

And what a lovely surprise to bump into our touring buddy and brother in arms @tommcraemusic at the Studio. We put his esteemed ears to good use.

We can't wait to let you know more about the album in the coming weeks.

Can't wait til then? Then come and hear a bunch of the songs LIVE at @thebetseytrotwood this Wednesday night for @loose_music's legendary @nashville_babylon night along with @maraconnor.

@loose_music making it all happen.

Creators of The Lantern Society return …!

We’re very excited to welcome our great friends Trevor Moss & Hannah-Lou back to The Betsey …

Husband and wife duo TREVOR MOSS & HANNAH-LOU have been with us from the very beginning. Off the back of their original band – INDIGO MOSS – they launched the LANTERN SOCIETY at The Betsey way back in 2007, a night that is still going strong here today, although they have long since passed on the baton. Going on to launch their first album as a duo here in 2010 they have produced a brilliant and unique body of work that has been a delight to follow. We’re honoured to be welcoming them back to celebrate their re-signing to the UK’s premier alt-country label – LOOSE MUSIC - and to experience the latest musical chapter from this amazing folk-rock 2 piece.
