It's is with great pride that we can finally announce that we have come home to @loose_music !

16 years after the release of our debut album (on Loose), we are overjoyed to once again be part of the stable that has brought you so many amazing acts over the years, from Danny & The Champs to The Felice Brothers, Justin Townes Earle, The Handsome Family, Brown Horse, The Hanging Stars, Dawes and the list goes on and on.

But it all began when Hannah and I went to see the White Stripes at Alexandra Palace on the Elephant tour. One of the greatest gigs ever, and they were supported by a band called Blanche, who we instantly fell in love with and were a huge influence on our first band Indigo Moss. We discovered they were on a label called Loose. We looked them up and always dreamed to be signed to them, and like so many things it's always better second time around.

To celebrate we're playing Loose's clubnight, Nashville Babylon at our beloved Betsey Trotwood on 9th September. @thebetseytrotwood

When we released our second album 'Quality First, Last & Forever!' on @heavenlyrecordings Danny Mitchell @danno_vision had the idea of putting a unique photo in every promo. We had about 6 hours to make it happen. This was what we did... back in the days when we just could drop everything and do a photoshoot.

Youth is wasted on the young.

I really liked Hannah's French mime phase. She still doesn't speak all that much. by @tmandhl

We can't wait to play again with our fellow lifer @romeostodart of the mighty @themagicnumbers at @thepipercalls in St. Leonards on Sat October 24th.

We go way back. Here is the opening scene from a film I made on the road with @themagicnumbers and @dannythechamp way back in 2011.

I shot it all on my dad's old Hi8 VHS camera, which I stole (sorry Dad). All in 3 second clips throughout the days to show the real rhythm of life on the road.

In a parallel universe these guys are still in that sticky floored dressing room singing their hearts out. And will be forever.

It was only two weeks ago today, but already feels like a lifetime ago...

Thanks to everyone who showed up to @thebetseytrotwood for our double homecoming show for our new-old stable @loose_music courtesy of @nashville_babylon.

And big thanks to @maraconnor for being our brilliant special guest.

This came up in my stage 'patter' last week at our show at @thebetseytrotwood for @loose_music @nashville_babylon.

These are the two versions of the video we shot for 'Babe To Cradle' taken from our 4th studio album 'Expatriot' produced by Ethan Johns, released 2015. @ethanjohnsmusic

It's the old lip synch at 3x speed then slow it down thing. But after seeing the rushes I thought it would look better if I shaved my head, and turned the shower to freezing cold.

P.S. we're playing in High Wycombe this Saturday night opening for @david__banks, along with @hannahwhitemusic and @petegow.

Come along if you can. Gonna be a great gig... then I reckon a late night and @travelodgeuk.

We'd like to say the biggest thank you to everyone who came from far and wide to pack out the hallowed upstairs room of @thebetseytrotwood last night for @loose_music @nashville_babylon.

We were really humbled to see so many familiar faces. We really appreciate it.

And what a pleasure it was to meet and hear @maraconnor who was our special guest for the evening. Hopefully we can open for you in the real Nashville someday.

We hope you had a good night, we certainly did, and let's do it again next year... with a new album!

It's in the can folks!

Mastering all done and dusted courtesy of the brilliant Dick Beetham at @360_mastering .

Dicks impressive CV includes over 50 UK No.1 singles and over 30 UK No.1 albums by everyone from Pet Shop Boys, Kylie, Loyle Corner, Van Morrison, KT Tunstall... and of course our last few albums. So you know it's going to sound it's best!

And what a lovely surprise to bump into our touring buddy and brother in arms @tommcraemusic at the Studio. We put his esteemed ears to good use.

We can't wait to let you know more about the album in the coming weeks.
