Thanks to my friend @tmh2399 for suggesting we visit @suzyquilts for her new fabric launch!! It’s been a minute since I cut up perfectly good fabric and sewed it back together but I’m so glad I did! Bayside will always be a favorite and of course these two beautiful and talented women are favorites too 🤍😘

Ah, beautiful coastal Maine has me hooked! I’m headed to Belfast next weekend to teach at @fiddleheadartisansupply. There are still spots in both my workshops, and you should join me! I’m starting off my weekend with a row on Belfast Bay with guide @dorywomanrowing. It’s a magical adventure I wisely treated myself to a few years ago, and I am really looking forward to trying my hand at rowing this time!! 💪🏻🚣🏽‍♀️ I’m teaching two classes Mother’s Day weekend, including my Proverbial Quilt pattern — I’ll be sharing all my tips and tricks for improvising the letters which is a really fun way of working. I made my first Proverbial quilt in 1998 (ish), inspired by my experience in typography, #barbarakruger, and historic ‘talking’ quilts. Women have long incorporated words in their quilts to honor friends, memorialize events, or speak their minds — including on political events when they still didn’t have the right to vote! It’s a powerful way to deliver a message of any type — with love, warmth, and beauty. Please enjoy these examples of #proverbialquilt’s made by talented folks. When Tori @tmh2399 tagged us in this beautiful Reel, one of the first things we noticed was the gorgeous stools refurbished by @rbxfablab! 👀 Tori made “the heart of our home … filled with special things…”. The stools originated from a family members 100 year old bar. The FabLab also retrofitted a pair of brass candlestick holders into countertop legs. So, we made a little remixxxx 🎶 and we’re showing you the before images of the stools! They underwent a seriously good transformation 🔥 Now we’re loving seeing them as a happy part of Tori’s home!
