I rearranged some furniture today on our sun porch. My cat (Spots/Spotzarella/Princess/Jackie) spends a lot of time in that room. She was napping upstairs on a bed and I went in to give her a pet. I told her “Hey, I have something to show you downstairs, when you have a minute.” I said that before I realized how ridiculous it was. 5 minutes later she came to the porch. 😹 by @tmh2399

Friends— I would like to majorly reduce my “stuff” in my home. I’ve always leaned aesthetically slightly more minimal in what appeals to me, as I find it much more calming and lets me focus on what I want to do and see. Like Travel!! But… I have so many things that I love and therefore have a hard time parting with. Paintings, art, books, projects, and knickknacks. Also, a decent amount of family things from my parents (photos, documents, and things). Lastly, I am a crafter. I love to sew/quilt so have extra samples, practice pieces, and incomplete projects while I work on current projects. I have read books, articles and blogs on declutter and achieving a more minimal lifestyle. But…. It is so darn difficult! I begin, then sort, reminisce, rearrange, and end up with only a few boxes to donate. Motivating music is nice, but not getting it done. Anyone have some ground-breaking ideas for getting over this hump?? It’s bugging me. A lot. I don’t want to spend my time cleaning, rearranging and being subservient to stuff. I’ll take visitors to help if you’re so inclined. Might be able to pick up a new treasure for yourself!! 😌 by @tmh2399

I did major fan-girling today when I got to meet the lovely @suzyquilts !!! Suzy is such a delightful, inspiring and generous human. And so gracious to be so kind to us quilt nerds!! 💕And she even signed my quilt! Thank you, Suzy!! Mark this as a super fun day at QuiltCon. 😊 by @tmh2399

Keeping with the snow pics…. Here is today’s walk. The lake is an angry girl today. Fun fact: The big white house behind the stone wall was the facade of the Betty White show, “Hot in Cleveland”. It’s across the street from our house. It will be for sale soon. Has been empty for years and is just stunning. Anyone want to move here & be our neighbor? 😀 by @tmh2399
