National Swing Day pt 1 ✨

Here’s a small sampling of the 10 incredibly fun and challenging tracks I covered as a swing at WICKED 💚

Tbh I never wanted to swing again after DIANA. It was an extremely hard and thankless job and I only got to go on ONE time on closing night. The negatives of swinging far outweighed the positives for me and I swore it off.

Fast forward to getting an onstage swing offer for WICKED… this felt different. I’d get to be in the show every night no matter what, it was a dream show, and it wasn’t going to close anytime soon haha. So I said yes and I’m so glad I did.

This show healed my bitterness towards swinging. I loved getting to see WICKED from every angle. I loved getting to sing solos, fly as a monkey, dance in a puppet, wear so many fun wigs, challenge my brain, trust my body, and so much more.

Swinging has taught me to accept that perfection is pointless, because there is room no growth ✨

I deeply love the Hawaiian tradition of throwing a Lei in the ocean in honor of those who have passed. It strikes a chord within me that is so deep. I am so grateful to my dear friends at @wicked_musical for sending me this beautiful Lei from Hawai’i to do just that with! It isn’t the ocean but @ericmann_unreel and I found a beautiful river in Pennsylvania to honor my Dad in! I love you Dad with all my heart! May you know how deeply loved you were and may you know that you mattered greatly and your beautiful heart a significant impact on this world! Thank you for being my Dad! I love you and I miss you!
