We spent 2022 in community with men interested in looking at manhood from a different perspective. Whether it was gathering outside or taking it indoors with some food, we kept engaging one another. We listened, we shared, we laughed, we cried, and we embraced each other.

We give thanks to @house_of_oyo and @lifewellnessbk for supporting our work by giving us a place to gather. We thank @niafairweather and @misskhanna for adding to our potlucks by cooking dishes out of the love in your hearts. And finally we thank all the men. The ones who took part in our workshops and the ones who showed up to a conversation or a potluck. We thank you for being open, courageous, and present. Let’s continue to heal in 2023.

Peace. On Sunday, 10/23 @ 3pm EST we will gather at a new location, The House of Oyo 901 St. Marks Ave, in Brooklyn NY. An opportunity to build with the brothers over food and drink. Last time we met we had amazing turn out, capped off by a brother from Minneapolis by way of Indonesia who just happened to be walking by and ended up joining us for hours in meaningful conversation.

We ask that those who plan to come bring something to contribute if at all possible. The more we bring, the more we feast on food and ideas. Hope you can make it. Oh and bring something to sit on unless the grass is all you need.

Feel free to invite those who you think would benefit from this space. As always all Men At Work Healing events are open to all men, regardless of race, creed, sexual orientation, or so-called color.

Where: The House of Oyo 901 St. Marks Ave, Brooklyn
When: 10/23 @ 3 pm EST
How much: Free (however please brings something to add to the spread, water helps)
