Still feeling the meeting of two worlds that happened yesterday. whirling, cacao and ecstatic dance (3 worlds… many worlds :)

There’s something deep happening when we are bringing different practices together and experiencing how they complement one another.

Whirling takes us into an expansive, almost otherworldly state, through repetition, rhythm and surrender. Then the cacao grounded us, bringing us back into the body, into the earth, into the heart.

And from there, moving into the freedom of ecstatic dance. I surprised myself how much I needed the freeform yesterday.

The structure and discipline of whirling seemed to open up an even greater sense of freedom in the spontaneous, unstructured movement that followed.

The contrast itself became liberating.

I’m feeling increasingly drawn to exploring this meeting place between form and freedom, devotion and play, transcendence and embodiment.

Thank you to @morpho.cocoon @cocoon.ecstaticdance for the incredible set and Olivia for the cacao circle, and everyone who shared this beautiful space yesterday. 🤍

I don’t have footage of the event I am glad we didn’t film I enjoy more to honour the space in that way. This footage is of earlier this year at another whirling ecstatic dance event.
I will be holding another gathering on Saturday December 12th save the date ✨🍒
