HINTERLAND I have so much unpublished work as the medium Social Media often feels not like the right place to publish the photographs I worked so much for. I donā€™t feel the format, I feel people are not concentrated or in right mood to open up and are used to quick reactions. Over the years the conversations about published works started to be a part of the photography-process. As the creative exchange and idea-collecting is the prologue, the feedback and talk over the finished photographs become the epilogue of my work. If that makes sense to you. ā€žHINTERLANDā€œ was long time unpublished work, which I like to share with you. This series was only possible with the great and massively skilled @tom_brut. We discovering in this long-term-series the roots and magic of our childhood, the fragments of our memories and try to capture the feeling of identity with traditions. This series contains for me a rare feeling of growing up and finding the tension of attraction. The last glimpse of an golden autumn before the winter is arriving. Sometimes you need to write in mother-tongue. Fotografiert haben wir dieses Bild an meinem Geburtstag. Eines von zwei Fotoshootings fanden bisher an so einem Tag statt. Hinter dieser Fotografie verbirgt sich eine sehr starke Serie. Letztes Jahr zu meinem Geburtstag hielt ich die einzige physische Kopie in meinen HaĢˆnden und habe ein ganzes Jahr damit verbracht es durch den Wohnraum wandern zu lassen und mich nicht daran satt zu sehen. An meinem diesjaĢˆhrigen Geburtstag entschied ich mich fuĢˆr die VeroĢˆffentlichung im Internet. Die schoĢˆnste Reaktion auf dieses Bild kam von meiner Schwester. Sie sagte nichts, sah bei einem Besuch aber zweimal hin, was ein sehr schoĢˆnes Kompliment fuĢˆr mich war. ā€žStable Poetryā€œ ist fuĢˆr mich eine sehr starke Reihe. Sie erforderte viel Wachstum und waĢˆre unmoĢˆglich ohne den Zusammenhalt von @tom_brut und mir. Denn alle Arbeiten fuƟen auf dem kleinstmoĢˆglichen Team: zwei Personen. Teilweise waren die Settings so gut geplant, dass wir das Bild in nur wenigen Minuten hatten. Fotografisch umfasst die bisherige Serie digitale und analoge Arbeiten. Diese sehr intime Serie beruht auf Kindheitserinnerungen, authentischen Orten, dem stehenbleiben der Zeit, einem gemeinsamen aĢˆsthetischen VerstaĢˆndnis fuĢˆr Mode und Beobachtungen von dem, was wir als Heimat erachten. Hinter jedem Bild verbirgt sich eine Anekdote.
