Ep. 125 August 26, 2018
Strongman Showdown Winners and Losers

Today we venture 8 years in the past into one of the biggest plot twists of the early years as this was the first podcast after Tyler's departure.

Several people may have learned the actual trick behind playing tug o war (if you want the secret it's guarded like the baked bean recipe)

This episode may also be home to the first unofficial open powerlifting stat of the week.

That's all the history for now! If you like what is going on, like, share, or maybe follow, but you can't listen with your ears (to this post anyway). No current timeline on releases, but hopefully 1-2 a week.

Home Gym Con Strongman Showdown 2026 was a success! Glad to show that my strength is back after the nerve issue and am ready to get back at it. Awesome show @the_kurtlocker and @homegymcon!!

Had a great time at the comp, and will post events and details later but first wanna share some photos of the weekend.

Huge congrats to fellow podium winners @premeditatedmovement and @iron_beebe, was a great show competing with yall and hope to see y’all again down the road!!

S/O to @katieyax for being my biggest supporter and helping not only throughout the weekend but every day.

Also thanks to my parents for coming and cheering me on along with everything else yall do! Along with Uncle John and Aunt Shannon for flying up and coming to watch, the Goodluck charms haha!

Huge thanks to @paul.d.mouser for getting me ready and back in shape, here’s to a bigger year coming up!

Also to @_detroitmuscle_ for being the best gym in Michigan with all the strongman toys anyone could have and the best group of guys out there, and @b_dubs84 for talking me into this comp.

Still don’t know who those @gymradarhq guys are but crazy my gym was up when I walked by, thanks to @massenomics for standing in for them.

And to @tsunamibarsports for the awesome bar for the heaviest log lift of the comp!

Honestly, these pics don’t come close to incapsulating just the weekend this Crü had last weekend but here are the highlights 🎥

Competed at my lowest bodyweight ever ✅

Deadlifted an all time meet PR @ 551lbs ✅

Wolfpac team brought home first place championship and officially inducted @paulfossrn and @thebigandsxy74 into the group ✅

My parents in iron @dillonkotz and @candice_kotz surprised me with tickets to @metallica next March in Vegas ✅ (may have almost cried on this one)

Alcohol and cigars were consumed (obviously) ✅

The list goes on and on, regardless a hell of a time was had and my back and liver are still recovering….

Meet day post. Will do another post for the grip contest and another for the living easy. Got too many photos for just 1. Deal with it nerds.
Huge thank you @massenomics for taking care of the little things for yet another LHLE weekend. 10/10. No notes. Sign me up for another trip next year.
Bench is a dumb lift. 85 kg. Blaming my pacemaker even though that's fully healed.
Deadlift is a good lift. 200 kg. Hungry for more.
Good meeting. Nothing more on my end.
