Not far from a year ago the amazing @piquant_media gave me an award for my Undergraduate Final Year Project. I was extremely happy to have received an award for the first project that I truly had the opportunity to spend a substantial amount of time and focus on. It was a self directed project, and sparked a flourish of inspiration in me.

Mapping some audio-reactive visuals on a rock during the Mayo Burn last Summer. The burn was hidden in the sand dunes by a beach in the west of Ireland. Unfortunately I forgot to take any decent videos.

Mirabili Build Week 2023

I need a social media manager or chat gbt or something to help me put into the words the last week of June. I’ve been putting off a post because I don’t know how to do it justice but letting go of perfection is a thing right now so here’s a start.

When I was little I used to play in the bales on the farm with all my imaginary friends, pretend people helping me build kingdoms of hay. Springfarm is paradise on earth but paradise can be boring and lonely too.

So to come home from NZ and put on Mirabili I couldn’t have felt more supported and in awe of having everyone there making and creating - and who I hope feel like Springfarm can always bea home for them too.. Some words and magic moments I want to remember below & hopefully more pics to come if I stop procrastinating on social media bitz - here is a little & for all the croí crúi I love you xxx

Daisy thumbs, caravan pickups, boys in the back, you can’t park there, farm tours, donkeys, rabbit stew for you. Secret hand shakes, Sandy feet, bendy boot bundles of bodies packed in to Brittas, cement and pipes, wood clearing strimming, picnic table suppers, big shops, brainstorming, inventions, new arrivals, sweet savoury breakfasts, work in the woods. Classic Conor leaving the gate open. Waves on the beach. Big Thief Certainty. Compost loos of dreams, mentioning things into fruition, stories and campfires, silk scarves, cables, sluts for things. Dogs, frozen banana bread, trust. Just don’t ask me where the caffetiere is. Magnesium plus a back pat. Sophie’s lady farmer dreams. Weathers original. Mum’s cornflake squares Granny’s pecan biscuits. Coffee deliveries & letting go. Signs & flowers. Lights lamps Friday night amazement. Straw bales wrapping up, laughs flowers rollies, endless to-dos. Herding sheep. Fruity Nesbitt’s snake oil. Purpose, meaning, occupational therapy for all. Seeing my friends light up and glow back. Feeling together even when I’m on my own.

& then an unmanageable feeling post but working on it and coming back in 2024 because the ripple effect is worth it - we all have the means to make magic.

A great name for a cult.
