Mamhead Hill Climb - very unexpected 3rd!! 🥉

So pleased with this result, was not expecting to be anywhere near the top with such a strong start list and becasuse I did a very silly and hilly long ride yesterday (don't tell my coach 👀)

Legs felt great until the last 2 minutes when they lost all power and would only spin at a very high cadence 😅

Got everything crossed that I get into Porlock in the next few weeks, loving the longer hill climbs 🤞

Thankyou @exeterunicyclingclub for organising a great event 😊

Another successful weekend of Cyclocross racing for our coached CX racers 👏🏻💪🏻

@tomhocking.1 finished 2nd place 🥈 which was his first senior podium in the cyclocross discipline at The South West CX league 👏🏻💥

It was another 1st place finish🥇 for @carolynmtb and a 2nd 🥈 place for hubby Mick in their respective age categories at The North West CX league. A strong start to the season for the married couple 😃🙌🏻👌🏻

@spillippe had another solid race taking a hard fought 4th position, even though he was still feeling some fatigue effects from last weekends epic 3 peaks race 💪🏻

The races are coming thick and fast over the coming weeks / months, so the training, recovery and racing balance needs to be very carefully planned 🤔📈📊📉

We are super proud of you all 👏🏻👏🏻❤️

First year in U14s and just finished 6th place! 🚴‍♂️💨
Really pleased with how this race went. I felt great out on the course and managed to hold my ground to complete the exact same number of laps as the top U14s and even the U16 field.
A huge thank you to everyone supporting me:

What a way to finish the South West XC season! 🏆🚵‍♂️

Final race done and I finished 3rd, which was enough to take 2nd overall in the South West XC Series! 🥈

I’m so proud of how this season has gone and how much I’ve learned and improved along the way. There have been some tough races, some great races, and plenty of hard work but it’s all been worth it! 💪🔥

A massive THANK YOU to everyone who has supported me this season:

🚲 The Bike Cellar thank you for believing in me and supporting me as a sponsor.
🧑‍🏫 Advance Cycle Coaching & Coach Tom Hocking thank you for all the coaching, advice and helping me become a better rider.
🎩 Big Bobble Hats thank you for the amazing support and for keeping me looking cool after I finish a race!

And of course, thank you to my family, teammates and everyone who cheers me on at the races. ❤️

2nd overall in the SWXC Series 🥈 what a season!

Now it’s time to get ready for the next challenge… cyclocross! 🌲🚲💨

Camp Lyndon was magical ✨ 🏕️
Still have no clue how we managed to cram everything in to five days 🤪

- Went into Looe and explored, crabbing, followed by a glass bottomed boat safari.
- Explored Polpero and Fowey.
- Outdoor cinema watching Zootropolis 2.
- Eclipse at St Mawes castle with besties.
- Meteor shower and star watching.
- Swimming in Whitsand Bay and spotted a star fish ⭐
- Plymouth shopping followed by firework competition.
- Dartmoor National park, smores and a cuppa, ending with a river swim.

I’m definitely in energy debt 😴 but it was so worth it

3SIX12 Mixed Team Champions 🏆

Libby and Sam teamed up with Lucy and Tom for the 3SIX12 MTB race on Saturday, taking on the full 12 hours as a team of four.

🥇 1st Mixed Team
🥈 2nd Overall (against all teams)

It was a hard race right from the gun, with Sam heading out first to get the team settled and to establish a top position from the gun. From there it became a game of consistency rotating riders every lap to try and keep legs as fresh as possible, keeping the pace high and making sure no time was lost in transitions.

By halfway, the race had turned into a proper battle for 2nd overall, with positions changing every lap between them and another team. It was tight, intense, and came down to smart decisions as much as strong legs.

Lucy worked out that with a slight strategy change, there was a chance to squeeze in one extra lap before the clock ran out. From that point on, it was all in. Everyone dug deep, pushing right to their limits and maybe a little over sometimes. Sam put in a huge effort with back to back laps to create a gap, giving Tom the best possible shot to squeeze in one rapid lap before we hit the time cut.

Running tired legs after an intense day, Tom pushed every inch of the course and crossed the line with less than 46 seconds left on the clock securing that extra lap and locking in 2nd overall.

Huge thanks to the marshals and the 3SIX12 crew for putting on such a great event.

Looked like fun? Come in and have a chat with us about getting into XC racing 👌

Day 2 of the @3six12_mtb relay and what a day! 💥

We started the day sitting 2nd in Youth Open and 7th overall in the Split 6. @brody.y14 and @leothorne17 absolutely smashed laps 1 and 2, putting us in a great position before it was my turn to finish the relay.

I crossed the line at 09:13 after a strong lap and decided to head straight back out to try and squeeze in one more before the 10:00 cut-off. I was gutted to just miss out, but I’m incredibly proud of what Brody, Leo and I achieved. Being the youngest team in the Split 6 Open and competing like we did is something we’ll all remember. 💪

A huge thank you to everyone at @whealvelocity_cc for making me feel part of something really special this weekend. 🔥

Massive congratulations to @harrybullracing, @reuben_harrington_photography and George Wood on taking the win! 🥇

Special thanks to @tomhocking.1 for the brilliant sighting lap advice it made a real difference and to James and Harrison from @dartmoorvelo for coming over to cheer me on. It meant a lot! 🙌

Already looking forward to the next one! 🚵
