Shishi-mai and an omikoshi procession at @japanfestivalcanada

Coming from a Chinese lion dance background, it was so cool to see how the Japanese traditional lion dance differs. It’s definitely much slower placed, techniques and movements are graceful and deliberate vs high-energy and acrobatics.

What a start for the very first Asia Game Sound Summit.

We kicked things off with our Opening Night Concert at , featuring indie game music from GAME AiCON and music by Maclaine Diemer from Guild Wars 2. The energy was great and the music was fantastic!

The next day, we hosted 4 hours of curated workshops and talks with an incredible lineup of speakers and guests, including Masato Ushijima, Maclaine Diemer, and Masahiro Aoki. We were also honored to have appearances from Maxance Playez, Heejo Choi, Jeremy Goh, Kevin Won, Jake Lefkowitz, Soobin Ha, Gahyae Ryu, and Toby Misselbrook.

Seeing game audio professionals, composers, sound designers, students, and developers all gathered together in South Korea was something special.
