POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I got to record Shakuhachi for Kazuma Jinnouchi's pieces for Star Wars Outlaws! Super thankful to the team and Will (lead composer) for inviting me on the project. Childhood dream accomplished 😤😤 by @tomiharuw

I first discovered Usagi Yojimbo with my mom and grandma at the Japanese American National Museum. Growing up surrounded by white suburbia, it was one of the first times I realized there was actually space for stories and people like us.

I love how Zack Rosenberg @comicnerd1988 and Jared Cullum @jaredcullum have carried the torch forward: honouring the world Stan Sakai created while showing how these stories can be inherited, reimagined and passed between generations.

I created this piece as the ultimate showdown between Kaito and ancient yokai Jei. Blending heart-pounding 1980s aerobics synths with taiko, traditional Japanese flourishes, and neon charged action!
Isaku laid down the funkiest taiko groove, while Anny brought a heartfelt rap that beautifully embodies the characters and their journey.

The final volume of Kaito '84 releases today! Go check it out!

New Nostalgia: Embers of Memory embodies the
delicate beauty of transformation, where nostalgia melds with the spark of renewal. Rooted in the
distinctly Japanese aesthetic of cherishing "the good old days (古き良き時代)" this work
embraces the duality of honouring tradition while boldly stepping toward an ever-evolving future.

While working on this project, I uncovered my own family roots in Hiroshima. What started as a last-minute chance meeting quickly grew into a deeply personal project. I'm incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to score this project!

Can't wait for the new TMNT DLC dropping tomorrow featuring my childhood manga hero Usagi! Here's an original track I composed, inspired by the incredible Tee Lopes to celebrate.
Can you guess the intro tune?
