Some stories stay with you long after the video ends. Clarisa Santos’ is one of them.

Life can change in ways we never expected, and sometimes we find ourselves navigating challenges we never imagined. Clarisa is a 12-year breast cancer survivor who is now navigating menopause, and she has chosen to share her story so other women know they don’t have to face their health journeys alone.

Her willingness to be open about her experiences is a reminder of why these conversations matter. Women deserve to understand their bodies, feel comfortable asking questions, and know how to advocate for themselves, especially when they’re facing the unknown.

As we recognize Breast Cancer & Menopause Awareness Month and continue our conversations around menopause, we invite you to take a moment to check in with Clarisa, our testimonial panelist on October 17 at 11am inside Brandon Regional Library. We’re grateful she’s willing to share a part of her journey with us, and we hope her story reminds someone that they are not alone.

Because at Check On Your Girls, we believe no woman should have to navigate life’s challenges without support, understanding, or a village.

30 Minutes, Give or Take is a Check On Your Girls conversation series built around one simple idea: What if the measure of our connection isn't how many people watch us, but how many people feel seen because of us?

We sit down with women, community voices, wellness professionals, and everyday people with something real to share. We talk about the milestones, the lessons, the heavy things we're carrying, and the health and wellness journeys we are all navigating.

Some conversations will make you laugh. Some might make you think. Some may hit a little closer to home.

But every single episode has a clear purpose: to remind someone watching or listening that they are not alone.

More than that, we want you to walk away with more than just encouragement, we want to hand you real inspiration and actionable information you can use to take that next step in your own life, health, and wellness journey.

Because sometimes, all it takes is 30 minutes, give or take, to make a difference.

We’re so excited to bring you our next check in conversation featuring @drsumersamhoury, founder of @pelvicvitality_pt dedicated to guiding and transforming patients quality of life and pelvic floor dysfunction for a renewed sense of confidence and well being!

Menopause isn’t just a women’s conversation. It can affect relationships, intimacy, communication, family life and the way the people closest to us understand what we’re going through.
And here’s something worth talking about:

In a survey of men whose partners were experiencing menopausal symptoms, 63% said those symptoms affected them personally, while 56% said they affected their relationship. Yet only 46% were aware that treatment options for menopause were available.

So why are we still treating menopause like something women are supposed to figure out alone?

This is why we’re opening the conversation wider in collaboration with Demitrie & Karen Palm presenting: "Me, My Man & Menopause" 💜🩷

THE EVOLUTION | TBFW 2026 🔑✨
They say pressure makes diamonds, and this year, THE EVOLUTION tested me in every possible way! Whew! 🙌🏽
A model no-show, makeup on my garments, a ripped zipper, unexpected challenges behind the scenes, and to top it all off, I ended the night feeling ill. When I tell you EVERYTHING that could have gone wrong tried to go wrong! 😩
But one thing about me… THE SHOW MUST GO ON!
I didn’t come this far to let a few obstacles stop me from sharing my vision. Every stitch, every fabric choice, every late night and every challenge led to this moment. And despite it ALL, THE EVOLUTION came to LIFE! ❤️
To my INCREDIBLE models: THANK YOU! Thank you for your patience, your professionalism, your flexibility and, most importantly, for showing up for ME when I needed you most. You didn’t just model my designs; you helped carry my vision across that stage. I couldn’t have done it without you! 🫶🏽
This collection represents more than fashion. It represents growth, resilience, creativity and the courage to keep going even when things don’t go according to plan.
I walked away exhausted, but I also walked away PROUD. Proud of what I created, proud of my team and proud that I refused to give up.
THE EVOLUTION wasn’t just the name of my collection. It was my EXPERIENCE.
And trust me… this is only the beginning. THE STORM IS COMING! ⛈️🔑
Now THAT’S a KEY LOOK!
