@toramusic “Be the Way You Are” directed by @dukii_duke, follows a man paralysed by a fear of the water and haunted by visions of drowning in a violent storm. A woman in the pool approaches him and reassures him that the fear is all in his head. Gradually, he begins to believe her.⁠
⁠
With newfound confidence, and under pressure to let go, he turns his back towards the water, closes his eyes and falls in. Beneath the surface, there is a brief moment of peace and weightlessness before panic suddenly takes over. Overcoming the fear psychologically has not changed the reality that he still cannot swim.⁠
⁠
The video becomes a thoughtful metaphor for relationships and social pressure that push people to become something they are not, rather than allowing them to simply be the way they are.⁠
