August 2026.
Longest most jam packed month I’ve had in a while… and that’s really saying something.

Threw a 400 person pool party and left for a work trip 12 hours later.

Bought a house !!
(Big thanks to our team, @katrinadewit and @torben.berndt!)
Moving in September.

Had a little family wedding celebration.
(So many heirloom tomatoes from @whetstonefarm. LOOK AT THE HEART TOMATO!)

Went to New Orleans with @margotshoward.

Was delighted by every @eatbettersour I could find.

Got to do business advising irl with @mulberrymelissa.

And, whoa, so much more.

This one is sooo special!

My friends @llcooljil and @cranberrybogspider just became homeowners for the first time! What a BLAST we had finding this perfect house - it warms my heart when everything comes together, and it’s truly such a joyful experience when it’s with the folks you love!

Thanks for trusting me, Jill and Sara! And thanks for the impeccable teamwork @torben.berndt and @edinarealty title (Kerry, you’re simply the best).

Congrats, friends, and happy nesting! 🏡🤠

Onward!

@julesreimann and @mary_tperez , thank you for trusting me through the home-buying process…I can’t tell you how much I value you as people, a beautiful couple, and now, wonderful friends. Cheers to you both, and I’ll be over soon ☺️🏆🏡

Also, @torben.berndt , you’ve done it again, pal! As always, I appreciate you, and I’ll see you at the next one! 😎🤠

Hey Sweethearts of the Twin Cities,

Torben and I are teaming up again to drop some knowledge on what it takes to buy a house. This is a no-pressure meetup - we aim to introduce ourselves, walk the process, and answer the questions. We also want to buy you the best pretzel in this whole world from our host, @akis_breadhaus

Please join us - let me know if you’re in 🏡

PS to my friends who have worked with me to find your home - please share on your story! 🙏

Oops, I did it again! Please join Torben Berndt, Kate Smith-Thompson, and myself on Friday evening at Moonstone MPLS for a great evening of learning about buying a home when your family looks different from the "norm."

Everybody's Home: Home Buying for Multi-generational Homes, Polycules, and Other Found Family

In a housing market built around nuclear family assumptions, navigating homeownership as a polycule, a multi-generational household, or any other nontraditional family structure can be uniquely challenging, but also deeply rewarding. This event is designed to guide chosen families through the home buying process, with a focus on collaborative ownership, legal considerations, financial planning, and creating living arrangements that support your shared values and lifestyles.

Participants will learn how to:

Navigate mortgage applications and financing options with multiple co-buyers
Understand legal structures for shared ownership (LLCs, trusts, tenancy in common, etc.)
Plan for future transitions, including relationship changes and aging-in-place
Build consensus around location, layout, and living needs
Protect individual rights while honoring collective goals
Work with a real estate agent and lender who understand your needs.
Whether you're a triad dreaming of a shared farmstead, a queerplatonic house of besties saving for a duplex, or a four-generation family pooling resources for security and connection, this course offers practical tools and affirming guidance to turn your vision into a home.

Who Should Attend:
Polycule members, extended or multi-generational families, queer and chosen families, platonic co-buyers, and anyone exploring collective or nontraditional homeownership.

Seats are very limited this time around, so please keep that in mind! Link to register got cut off, so please copy and paste!
