🚂 MAGOR WALKWAY STATION: I have written a letter with Lynne Neagle MS and Mary Ann Brocklesby, Leader of Monmouthshire County Council, to the new Plaid Cymru Welsh Government seeking reassurance that it remains committed to delivering Magor Walkway Station within the agreed timelines.

Earlier this year, the station was finally confirmed following £445M of South Wales Rail investment from the UK Government - the result of incredible campaigning by local residents, councillors and the fantastic MAGOR group.

A station in Magor is vital for economic development, local opportunities and greener travel.

I will continue doing everything I can to make sure this station is built as soon as possible.

Morning, day, evening and night. Rain, cloud, sun - and even some hail…

For the past few weeks, our fantastic candidates and members gave it their all, campaigning tirelessly: knocking doors, delivering leaflets, sharing posts, putting up posters, and speaking with residents.

These are all warm, decent and hard-working people who genuinely care about their communities and the people who live in them, fighting for a brighter future across Wales.

Now the campaign has come to an end and the results are in, we want to say one final massive thank you to everyone who gave their time, energy and support. It will never be forgotten.

The fight continues! 🌹

Climate deniers or someone who cares deeply about our planet? That’s the choice you’ll make tomorrow. 🚨

Anthony Hunt is 2nd on Welsh Labour’s list of candidates here in Monmouthshire & Torfaen - and according to polling, he is in a very close battle with Reform for the final seat.

Torfaen resident and Councillor Sue Morgan explains why Anthony would make a fantastic representative in the Senedd.

He knows our communities, loves our local environment, and would fight to clean up our rivers, protect our parks and open spaces, and tackle climate change for the next generation.

So tomorrow, the choice is clear:

Climate denying Reform representatives who wants to scrap net zero - or Anthony Hunt, someone who cares deeply about our planet and the future we pass on to our children and grandchildren.

Reform are now openly talking about building large detention centres and deciding which communities should host them.

Importing the worst of Trump-style politics and ICE detention centres is not what Monmouthshire and Torfaen are about.

That’s the kind of gutter politics on offer from Reform.

The latest polls are clear - here in Monmouthshire and Torfaen, Labour is best placed to stop Reform gaining another seat.

If you want to stop that - and back people who will protect our public services, defend our environment and keep delivering for our communities - vote Labour on May 7.

As someone who has worked in mental health services, Laura knows how important it is that people can access urgent support when they’re struggling. ❤️

That’s why, building on the progress Welsh Labour has already made on mental health support, a re-elected Welsh Labour Government will deliver same-day mental health support for those who need it.

This would make a huge difference to people and families across Wales.

On May 7th, vote Welsh Labour. 🌹

Anthony is the son of a retired nurse, so he knows just how much our NHS means to families across Monmouthshire and Torfaen. 🧑‍⚕️

The NHS has been under immense pressure following years of Tory chaos and cuts - followed by the COVID pandemic.

But since the UK Labour Government came in, working alongside the Welsh Labour Government, waiting lists have been coming down - now falling for 9 months in a row.

Welsh Labour has a bold plan to rebuild and strengthen our NHS.

Plaid have no plan, and Reform are more interested in opening the door to people paying for healthcare.

On May 7th, vote for candidates who will fight for our NHS - vote Welsh Labour. 🌹
