Winning my first Emmy is an incredible honor, but what means the most is getting to tell the stories of the community that raised me.

This award represents every overnight shift, every breaking news morning, and every person in our newsroom who worked tirelessly to make sure our community had the information they needed when it mattered most.

Here’s to telling more stories. 🏆🖤

I still don’t have the words... I won my first Emmy 💛

It was such a privilege to win alongside the amazingly talented Angela Chen for our work in the Environmental/Science-News category. Your excellence in journalistic storytelling is so refined and I will always be thankful to collaborate with you, because I know it will be amazing ❤️

Congratulations as well to my News Channel 3 colleagues who also got awarded for their brilliant breaking news coverage!

For so long, this felt like an impossible dream and now it’s a memory I get to carry with me forever. My heart is overflowing with gratitude for every person who believed in me, encouraged me, challenged me, and lifted me up along the way.

Every opportunity, every lesson, every late night, and every leap of faith led here. I’m living this moment, cherishing it, and keeping it as one of the most beautiful chapters in the story I’m so blessed to be writing.

My magical time in the desert is coming to an end✨🥺 Moving across the country alone was the SCARIEST moment in my life, but the people I met along this journey welcomed me with open arms and we had A LOT of fun. People who will always have a very special place in my heart. To my incredible boyfriend & best friends thank you! Thank you for every time you listened to me and supported me. I will treasure the memories we made together FOREVER! Thank you to KESQ for being an incredible newsroom and to every single mentor who took the time to guide me, helping me grow as a journalist. Thank you to the Coachella Valley community for being so accepting, the desert will always be a place I call home.
