Tonight I was awarded St. Michaels 2023 Rookie of the Year Award for the Emergency Department. For those close to me, y’all know how long and hard my journey was to become an RN. There were many times I didn’t know if I’d even get here, and many times since I’ve started that I’ve questioned if I would be any good at this. Being an ER nurse is by far the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life, but at the same time the most rewarding thing. It means the world to me to be recognized and told that I’m doing a good job!

Life update!!

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been passionate about makeup and the world of beauty. But I never actually considered doing it for my career. I graduated with a bachelors degree last year with the intent of being an elementary teacher, but something was holding me back. I couldn’t figure out why I was so hesitant to start something I’d worked so hard for. Then I saw a sign advertising an esthetics school. Now, a year later, I know that God was leading me to follow my heart. I’m so excited to announce that I’m about to start my dream job. This is something that is more than a job to me. I am passionate about making people feel confident and beautiful in their own skin. Also super excited to announce that two other estheticians and I are working on opening a business in Texarkana, AR. Stay tuned for updates and a grand opening date!! Until then, follow my business account!!❤️
