Just received my advance copy of @themaplesband “Grey Majesties” and gave it a spin. Such a lush soundscape and great flow start to finish!! Hadn’t heard a bunch of these finished songs since tracking them @icfstudio, and I’m blown away by @tormenter ‘s bass playing and production, @jonsanchez2000 ‘s guitar playing, and @_josh_blade_ ‘s vocals and vision. Stunning work all around!! This is my third record on vinyl with The Maples and I’m super proud of everything we’ve done, starting with our first record with the late great @forrest_culotta, who has been an enduring inspiration. I included an overhead video of myself tracking part of “Tell a Telephone”, and you probably can’t tell, but a week prior I suffered a gnarly mallet finger injury on my left index finger and almost thought I’d have to cancel this session. Somehow I locked in, made it through and still pulled off some crazy shit all over this record, which is also the first full length I tracked since becoming a Dad, so, mega special personal experience. Hope y’all check it out and dig!! #themaples #gothrock #newrecord #sessiondrummer #cryptid

SAD COWGIRL IS OUT. 🤍 Music Video on YT!

I don’t really know how to explain what it feels like to finally say that.

These songs came out of some of the loneliest, messiest, most heartbreaking years of my life. Losing things I thought would last forever, starting over, questioning everything, and slowly finding my way back to myself.

Sad Cowgirl is about heartbreak, but more than anything, it’s about becoming. Becoming the woman you were always supposed to be after life takes you somewhere you never planned to go.

There is absolutely no version of this record without the people who helped me make it.

Thank you Dayna Young for believing in me and pushing me to keep going and Derek Babb for being beside me through every idea, video, late night conversation, and crazy dream.

Thank you Matt Parmenter and Ice Cream Studios, Max Lorenzen, Jeff Elliot, Jon Sanchez, Ryan Hayes, John Fulton, John Williams, Chris Reynolds, Candice Ghai, Amie Peňa, Shelly Hartman, and every person who played, produced, mixed, mastered, filmed, photographed, edited, listened, encouraged, shared, and helped me get this thing across the finish line.

And to my little girl, who has watched her mom keep chasing this ridiculous dream, I hope someday you understand that part of why I kept going was because I wanted you to see what it looks like to keep becoming yourself.

And thank YOU for listening.

This record is for anyone who has ever had to rebuild a life they didn’t expect to be rebuilding.

I hope you find a little piece of yourself in it.

Sad Cowgirl is yours now. 🤍
