Back in 2014, Queens’ Belief Skate Shop featured Dennis in one of its team videos, helping showcase the local talent coming out of NYC.

Years later, Dennis earned his pro board with TORRO! Skateboards in 2021.

That’s what makes independent skate shops so important. They put cameras on local skaters, give them exposure, and help build a scene long before the rest of the industry catches on.

Not every kid gets discovered through a major contest or a big sponsor. Sometimes it starts with a local shop that believes in them.

Yesterday was a movie! It was an honor being there and skating amongst so many legends ❤️ It was crazy to be in Wall Street skating this ramp however, as a society we should support small businesses, local businesses, our friends and family, mom and pop shops, and the working communities. But we should also learn how to monetize on the very things these people “in power” have access to. Power to the people.
