ADHD and the Menopause. Many women will never have been assessed or diagnosed for ADHD or Autism. When hormonal changes occur during the menopause more women are struggling with their hormones, coping with their home and working lives but more importantly their mental health. At Bourne2care we see and support women who are neurodivergent but also women who might not have a diagnosis. Our female hormones play a key role within our brains and as they reduce some women with undiagnosed ADHD or Autism find their symptoms much worse but don’t know why. If you are wondering if this could be you and would like to know more on hormones, midlife, ADHD and Autism let me help you. Read my blog on www.Bourne2care.co.uk and contact us for help. We provide tailed consultations to help you and make you feel better. #menopause #adhdwomen #adhdfoundationliverpool #autismawareness #neurodivergent #hormones #midlife #coping #help #understanding #undiagnosedadhd #undiagnosedautism #hrt #hormonalimbalance #qualityoflife #perimenopause #earlymenopause #poi #oestrogen

"We've done a lot of research to look for the place we wanted to move to, and when we flew over Adelaide, we knew"

Today I had the chance to talk to Heidi from @total.somatics who moved from the UK to Adelaide Australia in 2010 together with her partner.

We talked about the journey, the challenges, the decision, how she cope with being far from the family, building herself from scratch in a new environment and all the blessings this move brought.

Thank you Heidi for an amazing conversation, you're such an inspiration! ❤️

For those of you who are living in Adelaide, or wanting to see what Heidi is doing check her website. https://totalsomatics.com/

And if you're planning to move abroad, or living abroad - follow us for more tips, inspiration and support on your journey ✨

What IF Slow IS the new black?........ 🤔

I know for me; I have to be intentional about slowing down. My go-to speed is .....accelerated. But what I have learned to be true is that the speed at which I get things done does not bring any more free time or joy to my life. Which is what I think 'should' happen when I move fast. I'll get things done quicker and have more time to myself. This is just NOT the case.

I recently did a podcast with the wonderful Loretta Hart, creator of the Happy Chicks Collective, and Heidi Hadley, founder of Total Somatics, where we talked about the importance of slowing down. And HOW to actually do it! 🙂

Check it out by clicking the link in bio and share below how YOU will be intentional about being SLOW today. 🧡 I'll go first!

Are you “shoulding” yourself?

What is best for YOU right now?!

Step back. Get curious. Ask yourself this powerful question and give yourself permission to slow down and do what is best for you!

HAPPY EASTER

I am so incredibly passionate about how our gut health impacts not just our physical health but our mental health as well. And when Heidi Hadley invited me to be on her podcast to talk about Food as Medicine, I jumped at the chance.

It's not just WHAT we eat!
It is HOW we eat, WHERE we eat, WHO we are being when we eat, WHY we eat........ ALL of these are equally important!

Chatting with Heidi, who is a Clinical Somatic Educator and Somatic Movement Teacher, which is allllll about becoming aware of how our movement impacts us mentally, and I'm all about Total Body Awareness, it was THE PERFECT match.

Take some time today and have a listen 🤩 (link in bio)
Let me know what you think in the comments!

And if you want to learn more about how our gut health impacts us physically, mentally and emotionally, let's connect.

And if you want to learn more about Somatic Movement & Mindset, I empower you to connect with Heidi where she can share more about the fields of neuroscience, pain, mindset, mindfulness, habits and how to use your amazing brain and body to create lasting healthy changes. 😀
