AARON Awards - Ad of the Week Accounting is probably not the first thing most small business owners would put in the “things I love about my business” column. Which is exactly what makes Xero’s new global platform interesting. Love Changes Everything starts with a simple reframing: the numbers aren’t the administrative bit sitting alongside the thing you care about. They are part of what allows that thing to grow. Rather than turning finance software into another story about dashboards, efficiency or getting your evenings back, ARGONAUT has built the campaign around the emotional relationship people have with the businesses they create. What makes the execution particularly ambitious is the scale. Eight markets, different industries, accents, shopfronts and product details, with more than 600 assets produced in eight weeks. The production system allowed the campaign to become more specific as it travelled rather than gradually being sanded down into one generic global master. Giving one strong global idea enough flexibility to feel genuinely local. A lovely platform, beautifully observed, and a very smart way to make accounting feel like part of the business someone fell in love with in the first place. It was such a thrilling experience to join my fellow College of the Desert PaCE Generative AI Foundations for Creativity cohort members at the 2026 @palmspringsnext Summit to share a beginner’s perspective on using AI to optimize workflows while embracing responsible and ethical practices. As someone who entered the program curious about AI but far from an expert, it was rewarding to discuss how these tools can help creatives, communicators, and professionals work more efficiently without losing the human element that makes our work meaningful. The conversations reinforced that AI is not about replacing creativity, but rather, enhancing it thoughtfully and responsibly. I was also inspired by Disney’s Lion King Co-Director @robminkoff and his keynote presentation on the future of animation, offering fascinating insights into storytelling and the creative process. Another memorable moment was being introduced to the innovative musical art pieces of @kelly_boesch_ai_art, whose work beautifully showcased the intersection of art and technology. Thank you to everyone who helped make PS/NExT such a meaningful experience. The future may be arriving faster than ever, but events like this remind me that curiosity, collaboration, and creativity will always be at the center of innovation. #PSNExT2026 #PalmSprings #AI #Art #Technology

Last dance for Sundance in Park City. My first Sundance was in 2002. I remember standing in line for a 7:30am screening of “Born Rich” and meeting two startup founders who were working on a company that mailed DVDs in red envelopes. We’ve all come a long way… This year felt like a fitting full-circle moment. I was an Executive Producer on MythOS, a hybrid short by @tarynoneill created with @adobefirefly which premiered at Sundance. The project came together on an accelerated timeline and explored how new creative tools can support deeply human, collaborative storytelling—while calling for new collective myths to help repair fractured communities. Thank you to the Firefly team for supporting the project: Patricia Buffa, Neil Barrett, Gina Garcia, Mara Bey, Alex Bullard. Rock stars came together to make this happen—DP Erik “Wolfie” Wolford, editor @driganlee, Dan Schmit and VFX team at Engine Room, producer @andreakott sound and music artist Joy Kim, creative technologist @__juliaharris__ artists @glamorousreptile @theselenyxiiiiie @davisblack @thebw7 @workofark @michelangelo_corrado. Congrats to @momowang123 on her Wink premiere too! It was wonderful to see communities come together to experience art, create together, and make our voices heard—from the snow to the ICE. What stood out most, then and now, is how Sundance continues to be about ideas colliding: filmmakers, technologists, artists, and founders all trying to imagine what comes next. I’m grateful for the New Frontier years with Shari Frilot, when VR first made its splash, and happy to be back this year with innovative storytellers again. From dinners with the Omidyar Network and @thecreativecoalition, to conversations at the Impact Lounge, @goldhouseco, Geralyn Dreyfous’ stunning cathedral home, UTA House, @asteriafilmco @freepik talks, to dancing at @indiewire and Doc parties, to seeing films!, and sharing our daily roses and thorns in the AI community house, this year was special. More meaningful with the MythOS premiere. Grateful to have been part of this one, and to see the festival evolve while still holding onto its core. On to Boulder! 🐋 Sent from my iPhone
