For the first time in my career, I made an AI film entirely on my own.

The idea came while I was watching the World Cup. I heard an analyst make an observation that stuck with me: the men’s team was chasing the kind of success we’ve come to expect from the women.

That stopped me for a second.

The U.S. Women’s National Team has won four World Cups, yet somehow we don’t always carry the same anticipation, pride, or excitement into their tournament.

That became the emotional center of this film.

A boy isn’t sad because soccer let him down. He’s sad because his heroes lost. His sister doesn’t tell him to stop caring, she simply shows him another place to put his hope.

After years of producing alongside incredible directors, artists, and craftspeople, I realized I’d never actually challenged myself to take an idea from start to finish using today’s AI tools. So I did.

Is it perfect? Not even close.

There are continuity issues. Editing mistakes. No color correction. Hallucinations. Awkward moments. Plenty of things I’d normally ask *you* to fix before showing anyone.

But that wasn’t the point.

This wasn’t an exercise to prove how good I am at AI. It was an exercise to remind myself that ideas matter just as much as execution and for the first time in a long time, the distance between the two has gotten a whole lot shorter.

For this piece I used:
OpenArt AI Director to build the core story
ElevenLabs for the score
Google Flash for the end card

A lot of curiosity, trial and error, and 2 late nights.

I’m not chasing the title of “creator.”
I’m chasing the freedom to bring ideas to life.

We just premiered at Sundance Film Festival!!

I can’t believe that my first project with @secret____level was such a meaningful documentary that not only premiered at @sundanceorg but also contributed to raising awareness and supporting the fight to free Leonard Peltier, an AIM freedom fighter who has been unjustly imprisoned for far too long.

My heart is full of gratitude and humility for being part of this journey. What a Banner day.
My oldest Nephew @monstermasher543 is 18! 18?!?! I am so grateful he has maintained all the sweetness throughout his 18 years. He has grown (like 6’3+) into such an artistic, creative young man. He always has a great story to share with me and is so patient with my lack of “young” culture 🙂

And sis @ba_nes_sa_345 who shares the same birthday (17 years young). My niece is the young lady I wish There was more of in the world. Her compassion and ability to make everyone feel special is so far beyond her years. Her laugh is infectious and smile warms your heart.
