I love Autumn. Actually I love all the seasons but Autumn has so much romance in it…. I get so excited to put my basket of Marigolds in the most inconvenient visible spot, so everyone needs to tippy toe around. And yesterday I used a milder Dijon to whip up a sauce that we all could drink as a zero proof cocktail!🍸🍋🍋🍋. Make this the Autumn of your dreams. And every meal one to linger over. …. For desert I first peeled one orange 🍊 pushing parts into the hands of fruit-Avoiding teens, and then another and another…. Oranges Are The Best Deserts Right Now!!!!!! & I wasn’t at all into leaving the audio on this video but it delighted me and I hope, it delights you too.
Love you my friend! You know who you are! ❤️😘🍋

Despite repeated attempts, it took Touraj 24 years to finally bring me to his beloved Yale. And what a meaningful time it was to visit in 2026, alongside our daughters, at a moment when so much of our world feels unsettled, polarized, over heated and in an increasing sense of fear about what the future may hold.

Learning more about Yale’s philosophy was a breath of fresh air. It reminded us why we chose to make the United States our home: a place that, at its best, celebrates human curiosity, honors the pursuit of knowledge, and believes that education can elevate not only individuals, but society itself.

We came away with a renewed appreciation for the importance of nurturing those who dare to dream, who delight in learning, who ask difficult questions, and who dedicate themselves to expanding the boundaries of human understanding and through their discoveries, ideas, and leadership lift the rest of us up as well.

Walking through Yale, we felt something profoundly hopeful, that even in times of uncertainty, there are places where wisdom, inquiry, kindness, and excellence are still cherished. We left inspired, and optimistic.

📣📣📣 Public Service Announcement for all my West Coast friends, from Vancouver, Seattle, Oregon to California!

If you’re anywhere near Dip Co., do yourself a favor and GO.

Their freshly baked artisanal bread, a brilliant fusion of Barbari and focaccia, is reason enough!!!!! But oh the sandwiches: creative Persian/Italian creations like the Shemroon, Tehroon, and Buenossimo.

They make about 600 sandwiches a day… and they sell out. Every. Single. Day. To the collective heartbreak of everyone still waiting in line. We were so proud to have made our way to the holy grail!!!!

People love to dis perfectionism but my Shemroon Sandwich (which I had with their regular Italian Mortadella, Sans Hummus , and Extra Pickles) is proof enough that when people obsess over every little detail, the result is something unforgettable. ❤️❤️❤️❤️#persiansandwich

Thirty nine years ago this week, my family immigrated to Vancouver, Canada.

For me, Canada gave me more than a new home, after having to leave behind a home we loved and cherished…. Canada reminded me that I am a citizen of the world! That I belong wherever beauty, curiosity, kindness, life and possibility exist, and that this world belongs to all of us! 🌎🌍🌏❤️

Thank you, Canada, for opening that door for me. I will always be grateful. ❤️🇨🇦
