Testing both the vertical jump and broad jump together provides a comprehensive assessment of an athlete’s explosive power, strength, and overall athleticism. Here are six reasons why this combined testing approach is essential….

My Brother’s Keeper. 🐓🤝🏾

5 plates on the sled. No shortcuts. Just two brothers putting in work and pushing each other forward.

Sled work = strength, power, conditioning, acceleration, and the ability to keep driving when your body tells you to stop.

Same blood. Same mission. Different roles. Bigger impact.

Rising Beyond Expectations.
Each one, teach one. 💪🏾🔥

THE LOST STYLEBENDER — THE PROCESS. 👑

There was a point when I wasn’t moving enough. My weight had climbed to 215. I was told I was prediabetic, and I knew I couldn’t keep treating my health like something I’d eventually get around to.

So the journey started.

And it wasn’t pretty. There were days I was tired. Days the scale didn’t move. Days my conditioning exposed me. Days I struggled through dance combinations, got humbled in martial arts, or walked into the gym without much motivation.

But I kept showing up.

Lifting became consistency. Muay Thai taught me to keep working when I was tired. Running challenged my engine. Dance and breaking forced me to move in ways that were uncomfortable and unfamiliar. Better nutrition became less about a temporary “diet” and more about respecting the body I’m asking to do all of this.

215 → 198.

But this journey was never just about losing pounds.

It was about fighting my way out of inactivity. Building habits. Becoming more athletic. Learning new skills. Getting comfortable being uncomfortable. And proving to myself that progress doesn’t require perfection—it requires another day of work.

I’m still learning. Still struggling sometimes. Still building.

Same soul. Lighter frame. Higher standards.

The goal was never simply to lose weight.

The goal was to get my life moving again.

And the process continues. 🥊🏋🏾‍♂️🕺🏾‍♂️🏃🏾‍♂️👑

MY BROTHER’S KEEPER. 👑

This was never just about working out together. It’s about accountability.

When one doesn’t feel like showing up, the other one does. When one starts slipping, the other raises the standard. We push each other, challenge each other, and make sure neither one gets comfortable.

Different roles. Same mission.
Same work. Higher standards.

Because being my brother’s keeper means I’m invested in his growth just as much as my own. A stronger me helps build a stronger us.

Each one, teach one. Brothers push brothers. 1% better together. 🏋🏾‍♂️👑🔥

A family that trains together stays together! 💪🏾🔥

Nothing better than getting some work in with family. My brother and I got our fam @des908 to pop out, sweat with us, laugh with us, and push through the work together.

Basketball has us on different sidelines during the school season—Des at @linden_bb , me at @rahwaybasketball , and @branden_ceaser with @prestige_prep2020 —but the bond goes way beyond where we coach. And when AAU season comes around, my brother and I link back up with Prestige.

That’s what makes it special. Family supporting family, pushing each other, and pouring into the next generation together.

Des put in the work and paid in sweat! We ask our players to bring energy, discipline, and effort, so we believe in showing them what that looks like.

Family first. Leading from the front. 🫡❤️🏀
