From the series "Baby at the public library" featuring baby seeming intellectual, curious and in exploration and research mode.

Not pictured: books on the floor, chairs on the floor, feeding snacks to library goers of all ages.

Lately I’ve been trying to push my boundaries and trying to go on little self dates.

Even though my schedule is hectic with school, work and my internship. I should always make time for myself.

todays first self date is to the library and picking up some poetry books.

to more self love 🤍

📚✏️October is Canadian Library Month!
📚✏️
.

It’s the perfect time to let you know why Forest Hill Orthodontics is proud to give back to Toronto Public Library. ☺️ Did know that TPL is the busiest public library system in the world? 😲 And that nearly 70% of Torontonians use the library? It’s a critical resource for so many, and it matters now more than ever. 🙏🏼 so far, we have raised $8️⃣4️⃣0️⃣ 🎉🎉🎉
.
When the pandemic hit, Toronto Public Library stepped up to help the community in positive and creative ways. 🙌🏼
.
@torontolibrary ensured that vulnerable individuals and families were provided with free computer, Wi-Fi hotspot , and data plan in order to stay connected while safely staying home.
.
📢 When you donate to TPL in October, your gift is directed to the library’s highest priority needs and helps those in our city who were hit hardest by the pandemic.

🍂🍁Book #50 of 2021🍁🍂

Between Two Kingdoms by Suleika Jaouad

Memoirs are my favourite as they usually never disappoint me. This one deserves all the stars and I definitely recommend it👌🏼📖

#BookReview In the summer after graduating from college, Suleika Jaouad had fallen in love and moved to Paris to pursue her dream of becoming a war correspondent. The real world she found however would take her into a very different kind of conflict zone. It started with an itch first on her feet, then up her legs, like a thousand invisible mosquito bites. Next came the exhaustion and the six-hour naps that only deepened her fatigue. Then a trip to the doctor and, a few weeks shy of her twenty-third birthday, a diagnosis: leukemia, with a 35 percent chance of survival. Just like that, the life she had imagined for herself had been crushed. By the time Souleika flew home to New York she had lost her job, her apartment, and her independence. She would spend much of the next four years in a hospital bed fighting for her life. When she finally walked out of the cancer ward after countless rounds of chemo, a clinical trial, and a bone marrow transplant she was, according to the doctors, cured. But as she would soon learn, a cure is not where the work of healing ends; it's where it begins. This leads to her next journey, embarking on a road trip to regain her freedom and zest for life.

I would recommend this book to anyone interested in learning about someone's cancer journey and how they learn to live a full life afterwards. The author was honest about how cancer affected her day to day life as well the effects on her family, friends and boyfriend.
