Some things can’t be rushed and safety is one of them
•
We’ve been asked a lot lately when we will be back on track , and well here’s the answer. We aren’t rushing anything and we are maximizing this down time to ensure we check as many of the want boxes as possible. This will ensure that we don’t wish we had done something or create another lengthy downtime next season . So, we are taking our time and enjoying the build process a bit before we are back on track chasing times officially in your favorite father daughter built Miata.

I will add that yes we are ready to be back and it’s almost time.

We put in the work this weekend to get our father daughter built Miata one step closer to being back chasing times with our friends on track .
•
It’s taken quite some time to make this vision a reality, but the patience and attention to detail have been worth the wait . After all everything we do takes just a bit longer considering it involves teaching Kat new things along the way. Our return to the track is in sight and we cannot wait. First we have to knock out necessary maintenance then it’s time to chase times.

We are now part of the Big Wang Gang
•
Kat and I knocked out the install on our @ninelivesracing big wang last night . This has been a long time coming , but like I told Kat early on we had to learn the car without aero first . Overall the install was very simple and now we have us a certified big wang race car. Even my little man approved.
•
We have something in the works for the front splitter to match the downforce so stay tuned

Your race car needs this upgrade

When we sat down to plan out the placement of the @lifeline_fire_usa rain light we knew we wanted to still maintain some street ability for local test drives after install, laps around the neighborhood for the smiles and waves , and the occasional local cars and coffee. For that reason we decided to make the rain light a subtle addition with real functionality.
•
With 6 different settings we are able to use the rain light in its designated form or simply as a 3rd brake light, and it looks awesome with the tag in place. A big reason this works so well is because of the quick release mount from @rtheorymotorsports.
•
Our father daughter track miata is all about looks and function. Big thanks to @trackprepperformance for always coming in with the parts for our crazy ideas.

Taking my time to keep things clean, simple, and tidy is turning out to be a great decision.
•
I finally wrapped up the @lifeline_fire_usa fire suppression and @cartekmotorsport power cutoff install. To keep things in easy reach with a nice integrated look I made this removable aluminum center panel which also gave a perfect mounting location for the @longacreracing ignition switch . Inside you’ll see the main power on/off from the cartek switch , the pull for the fire suppression and the mentioned ignition start panel. In the last pic you’ll find the external cutoff and fire activation location.
•
I’ll be honest when it comes to wiring it can be pretty intimidating, especially since I had to make a full front to back harness for the switch and associated cutoff buttons . Furthermore , all of the fire suppression routing also had to allow use of a passenger seat and necessary leg room .
•
All said and done I’m very happy with how the ideas in my head came to life in the car . Now it’s time to get the seats back in and add some finish pieces to the dash from our friends at @updatecreate. More updates to come soon , but we are in the home stretch .
