North American Tour → Tigard, Oregon 🇺🇸

September 19th we’re at Apex PWR, and we’ll let them tell you why 👇

“There are very few high-quality upper extremity courses here in the Northwest, and we’re about to host one of the best ones there is.”

The one-day course builds directly on the trilogy of online Testing & Training courses:

- Case studies and troubleshooting of real shoulder and upper body injuries
- Assessment frameworks and treatment progressions you can apply immediately
- Getting athletes back to sport, back to throwing, back to performance

Hosted in Apex’s 10,000 sq ft facility force plates, force frames and dynamometers available throughout the day so you can see how objective data fits into your decision-making.

Northwest clinicians, this one’s for you. Limited places left 🔗 https://www.athleticshoulder.com/events

Eleven feet 😱 (basketball hoop for scale) 👇

This is the stuff our team lives for. Helping an athlete jump higher than they ever have, and helping them get back to jumping at all after an injury.

Both take the same thing: strength built from the ground up, the confidence to trust the takeoff, and the landing .. and a plan that meets the athlete exactly where they are.

✅ That’s what we do here at @apexpwr , in performance training and physical therapy alike. We test, we build, we retest, and we watch athletes reach heights they didn’t think they had.

This is sports performance testing, training, and physical therapy in Portland, Oregon at APEX PWR, for youth and high school athletes across the metro area in Tigard.

Twelve years ago today, we opened our doors.

Three of us to start. Jeron, Kellen and Kalen, three guys from Beaverton with borrowed equipment and a lot of nerve.

The energy was there, but the support was unparalleled

Today there’s a full team of physical therapists, nutritionists, wellness specialists and more, and honestly, that’s not the part worth posting about…

The part worth posting about is you.

The person who walked in after surgery not sure they’d get back to the thing they loved.

The parent driving across the metro just to make sure their kid could get stronger, faster or come back from an injury.

The people who came in once for a DEXA scan out of pure curiosity and are still here years later.

The ones who told a friend, then a sibling, then a coworker.

Twelve years of that. It is still the only reason we’re standing.

Here’s the thing we don’t say enough: every service we offer exists because one of you asked for it

Physical therapy grew into strength training because patients didn’t want to stop when rehab ended.

Wellness testing happened because people wanted real numbers instead of guesses.

Nutrition followed because the data needed a plan behind it.

You helped build this

300+ five-star reviews.

Thousands of people through the building.

A community across the Portland metro that keeps growing and somehow keeps feeling more familiar at the same time.

Thank you. For year one, for year twelve, and for every one in between.

We’re celebrating for 12 days.

DM us for the details.

More on the three of us later this month. Today belongs to you. 🥂

This is what preparing for the next level looks like 🚀👇

This athlete is a college-bound shot put and hammer thrower

👉 Before heading to college in the fall, it’s time to dial in the training and injury history with our team of sports performance coaches and physical therapists

📊 We start with testing the upper and lower body to get objective insights - where he’s strong, where to build, and then measure over time

The same testing & technology used by college and professional organizations, applied to every athlete who walks through our doors. From there, our team builds personalized, athlete-specific programs designed for results.

Athlete specific physical therapy 🏈 a low back strain doesn’t feel great, especially for a football player 👇

This athlete is coming off of a 6A shotput title 🥇 and preparing for fall training camp

Instead of letting a back injury keep him completely sidelined, he’s been going through a progressive plan of care to stay moving and work through exercises to keep him in shape and ready to go

🤝 Our physical therapy team often utilizes objective testing to understand right where an athlete is during each phase of rehab

💪 From there, an age & developmentally appropriate program is put in place to help the athlete reach their goals

📈 This athlete already possesses more strength than most, so his “medium” lifting is more than what you’ll see from most high school athletes - but that’s the benefit of working with our team at APEX .. each athlete is able to be challenged accordingly to build strength, speed and confidence to return to action and perform well

🤔 If you’re an athlete (or a parent of an athlete) and want to get started with Sports Performance Testing, Training or Physical Therapy, or team is ready for you!

Knowing when to add weight is the difference between a coach and a program that just guesses.

📈 We take athletes through informed, age and developmentally appropriate strength progressions, customized to their goals, their sport, and their testing results.

💪 The jump you see here isn’t random. It’s earned, and it’s timed to where the athlete actually is.

📊 As we monitor progress over time, we adjust the plan and add new challenges to keep them building, in both sports performance training and physical therapy. That’s how strength is built to last, safely and for the long run.

✅ It all starts with a Sports Science Assessment, so we know exactly where to begin.
