A few Shabbats ago, as we were emerging from the high holidays, I was asked to share Shalom Aleichem and Avinu Malkeinu.

While I had performed my renditions of both for over a decade, it occurred to me that the last note of one is the first note of the other.

So I stitched them together: first welcomed in the Shabbat angels, held that note, and walked it straight into the asking for mercy from our Creator.

Two prayers that live in completely different rooms, joined by a single pitch.

Special thanks to @chosen_gatherings and @tracykomlos for the invitation and hosting the most beautiful Shabbat. 🙏

Shabbat Shalom friends, keep spreading that light. 🕯️🕯️

Before the stages, before the crowds, before the artists - there was just the grind and a handful of people who believed in us. Almost 100 events later, that grind has built a global movement. 💜 #fcancer100

Summer soirée, served✨

A chic seaside seafood boil in the Hamptons. Caviar martinis, local seafood piled down the table, sea air, and conversations that stretched long past sunset.

The next social network isn’t another screen. It’s a table.

I woke up this morning in a puddle of tears. This has been happening lately…I’ll spontaneously find myself practicing this beautiful healing Hawaiian tradition of Ho’oponopono before my mind even knows I’m doing it.

I first learned about this tradition at @mindfulnessmatters & @tracykomlos retreat in Costa Rica a few years back. And it shifted my perspective on forgiveness love and healing. And how the collective energy can truly eradicate pain and suffering from all beings that walk this earth.

Ho’oponopono is a traditional Hawaiian practice of reconciliation, forgiveness, and restoring harmony. The word roughly means “to make things right” or “to set things in order.”

A modern, simplified version has become widely known through these four phrases:

🤍 I’m sorry.
🤍 I forgive you.
🤍 Thank you.
🤍 I love you.

We chanted this over and over again for an hour, collectively pouring our energy into the words and power of love, forgiveness and gratitude. Tears were streaming down all our faces. As we chanted these intentions for the world, our people, our enemies, the collective, ourselves. It was so raw and powerful.

So now I find myself practicing this when the world feels heavy. When my reality reflects unease and pain. I tap into my heart to transmute the pain to love. Judgement to compassion. Fear to faith.

We can all do this. It is so freeing and healing 🤍

I love the phone’s random memory pop-ups.

This was one of those legendary Friday nights, June 2024, that can only happen in LA… (or possibly Mayfair, Hampstead, Miami, NYC or Tel Aviv. But this was in California).

@tracykomlos had invited me to speak and lead the spiritual portion of a beautiful Shabbat dinner event for @chosen_gatherings in Beverly Hills. It was an elegantly-curated evening for philanthropic-minded young professionals that raised funds for the much-needed Rishpon healing center @healingspacerishpon in Northern Israel founded by @kwartinilana after October 7th, treating people for PTSD and much more through a range of traditional and alternative therapies. I later visited the Rishpon centre in Israel, and it’s a profoundly special place doing powerful healing work at no cost to recipients, helping people who might otherwise not being able to afford it.

In these times when many people experience social isolation and loneliness, community is more important than ever before, as humans need humans.

Tracy leads with an exemplary approach - rather than wait, seek and search the community you desire, instead she creates and convenes. Well worth checking out Chosen Gatherings, either to attend her events, or hire her to consult on how to create your own! (Not a paid promo, I just believe in what she’s doing as a great example of what’s possible).

To a great summer ahead, full of stellar community gatherings 🍾
