The numbers are staggering: the global hospitality market is projected to grow from nearly $5.8 trillion in 2026 to almost $7.5 trillion by 2030.

But the more interesting question is: why now?

My belief is that hospitality is becoming more valuable because presence is becoming more scarce.

We live in a world where almost everything is optimized to be faster, easier and more convenient. We can work, shop, date, socialize and entertain ourselves without ever leaving a screen.

And yet, the experiences people increasingly value most are the ones that cannot be downloaded, automated or replicated by AI.

A dinner that runs late.
A conversation that changes you.
A room full of people you didn’t know you needed to meet.
A place that makes you forget to check your phone.

That is the real opportunity behind the growth of hospitality.

The industry is no longer only selling rooms, meals or service. It is selling access to presence, belonging, memory and aliveness.

As digital life becomes the default, real life becomes the differentiator.

A little behind the scenes of how I’ve been hosting Shabbat dinners over the last 2.5 years.

Bringing together people from all faiths to share in the beauty of this ancient ritual has become part of my tikkun, my small way of helping repair the world.

I feel so grateful to create spaces that bridge gaps, open hearts, and invite more allyship through community and direct experience.

This is where healing begins: around a table, in conversation, in presence, and in remembering that there is so much more that connects us than divides us.

We’re living in a friendship recession.
The number of people with 10 or more close friends has dropped from 33% to 13%.
At the same time, loneliness has become so widespread it’s now considered an epidemic.

Which means this:

In a disconnected world, the person who can bring people together holds real power.

Hosting isn’t just social.
It’s cultural.

It requires presence, intention, and social intelligence
to make people feel seen, safe, and connected.

Friendship isn’t only measured in years. It’s also measured in alignment.

We’re taught to celebrate duration in relationships, as if time alone is proof that a relationship is healthy. But history and compatibility aren’t the same thing.

Research consistently shows that the quality of our relationships matters far more than the quantity. The decades-long Harvard Study of Adult Development found that close, supportive relationships are one of the strongest predictors of long-term health, happiness, and life satisfaction, not simply having relationships that have lasted the longest.

I’ve found some of my deepest friendships in my thirties. Not because we’d known each other forever, but because we met as the people we are today.

Outgrowing a friendship doesn’t mean it failed.
It just means you grew and are now craving something different in this new chapter and version of yourself.

You don’t have to hold onto relationships out of guilt, history, or obligation. You’re allowed to seek friendships that inspire you, challenge you, celebrate your growth, and call you into an even fuller version of yourself.

The people who are meant for this chapter will make you feel more like yourself, not less.

The Rise of Intimate Gatherings is here and I couldn’t be happier! 🤗

Big events are losing their appeal. Small gatherings are becoming the new desired luxury. People used to want bigger rooms, bigger networks, bigger audiences but as that has started to feel less intentional and less curated.

The pendulum has swung in the opposite direction and now, what people are really craving is depth and true connection. We are seeing a shift toward- Private dinners. Small salons. Invite only gatherings. Curated experiences.

Because in a room of one hundred people, you might meet a few. But around a table of eight, you can actually know everyone. In a world where loneliness is rising, depth is becoming more valuable than access. People are not craving more invitations. They are craving more meaningful ones.

How did it take me this long to go to Italy?

It is so soul nourishing and inspiring to be surrounded by a culture rich in history, tradition, and beauty.

Everywhere you look, your senses are fed by detail and beauty: the architecture, the nature, old stone carved buildings, tiny streets, churches, art, food and shared meals. It’s all so intentional.

It made me think about how much of modern life is designed for efficiency and minimalism: white walls, gray buildings, clean lines, squares… how depressing. We’ve stripped away so much color, detail, and artistry. While there is beauty in simplicity, sometimes it feels like we’ve designed the soul and pride out of our spaces.

Italy felt like the opposite. Everything has texture and a story.

It reminded me that beauty matters. Tradition matters. Detail matters. Sitting around a table for hours matters.

Add incredible food, warm people, tiny villages, olive oil on everything, and landscapes that never stop being beautiful…
