It’s can be so satisfying watching other people build, forage, and make fire. Watching alone doesn’t build skill. Come practice with us. Survival Foundations is two nights in the oak forests of south Portugal with Melina and Joshua, in Alentejo, Portugal. The venue is one of the sites we know best - Traditional Dream Factory. You’ll leave knowing you can meet your own needs on the Earth, with or without the industrial systems around you. Trust in yourself and in the earth right next to you. We’ll build fire, construct shelter, forage wild food, track animals and learn to read the language of the birds. For adults who want this for their own lives, and for educators and future guides taking a first step on that path. 🔥 23 to 25 October 📍 Traditional Dream Factory, Alentejo, Portugal 🫘 Sliding scale. 👉👉Link in bio & kambium.earth 🔗🔗 Message me with any questions. #survivalskills #natureconnection #bushcraft #wildernessskills

When I first learned how to provide for my first 5 survival needs - just between myself and the earth - I could not see the world as I had before. For better and for worse, everything changed. I both belonged more than ever and grieved more than I had known there was to grieve. My curiosity sky rocketed 🚀 and I began being okay with change and uncertainty like never before. Survival is physical - but in my experience, that’s just the first part. Let us open up this door for you! This is a hands-on, 50-hour Survival Foundations weekend, led by experienced wilderness mentors. Learn back the skills your ancestors lived by. 📍 Alentejo, Portugal 🫘€298 p/person 🗓 23rd - 25th October 2026 You’ll: 🔥 Learn to light a fire without a match 🛏 Build a mattress from the forest floor 🪢 Learn 2+ knots to use forever 🌿 Forage and cook wild food 🐦 Learn how birds carry the news (and how to understand) 🧘 Practice the Sit Spot 🌙 Sleep in the shelter you and the earth made together This is a course to build real skill, taught slowly and experientially enough to learn it and keep it. 👉 Link in bio & events.kambium.earth Register until 19 October. Hey Insta world! It's been a while. I'm happy to update you from the @traditionaldreamfactory in the Alentejo region, Portugal 🇵🇹. Welcome to hot Mediterranean climate surrounded by beautiful cork oak woodland. 🌱 I'm participating in the Citizen's Gathering: meeting fellow visitors, learning all about TDF and discussing society and governance in the regeneration movement...amongst other exciting workshops! Over the next two weeks, apart from all the learnings, I'll be figuring out a routine in this funky and welcoming #regenerative #ecovillage. Ideas are already brewing for Tierra Nómada! Stay tuned!

What does it mean to leave a legacy? For us, a tree we plant today becomes shade for someone we may never meet. A seed we offer the ground will fruit food, to the one who tends it in a following season. At Primal we focus on what we can contribute and offer, to practice being of service without any interest of gain. A concept borrowed from Seva, that is woven in many ashram traditions. To embody what it means to become stewards. Eight years of gathering have created a story that belongs to everyone who has shown up and added something to it. We’ve planted over 7000 trees, with some fruiting and contributing to seabuckthorn products at @42acres and others sold by a local community to their neighbours generating up to €8,000 euros. This October, you have the chance to become part of that story too. Primal Harvest Gathering 2026 📍 Sheepdrove, Berkshire 🗓️ October 2 - 4 🎟️ Early Bird Tickets are now available to the public If you’ve been thinking about joining us, you won’t want to miss it at Primal Harvest Gathering 2026. *Supporter tickets are available, comment “SUPPORTER” to receive the application

Join the Confluência gathering 24-28th September at Traditional Dream Factory in Portugal! 🏕️ Confluência will be an intimate and co-created gathering, where we explore TDF’s role as a meeting point for the local and bioregional regenerative movement. 🛖 Confluência is intentionally emergent. The gathering brings together people working across six interconnected themes essential for regenerative futures: 🌿 Land Stewardship - how do we care for land in ways that restore ecosystems, regenerate soils and water, and deepen our relationship with place? 🌍 Bioregional Development - exploring how communities, projects and organisations can collaborate at the scale of a living landscape rather than isolated initiatives. ✊ Social Activism - building movements for justice, liberation and collective care while learning from diverse struggles and communities. 🌱 Post-Capitalist Organising - experimenting with new ways of organising, governing and working together that move beyond competition, extraction and endless growth. 🏘️ Local Integration - strengthening relationships with neighbouring communities, cultures, histories and local knowledge so regeneration grows with a place, not beside it. 💸 Finance & Resourcing - exploring how money, resources and mutual support can flow in ways that nourish people, projects and the wider ecosystem rather than create scarcity. Let us know if you’re interested in collaboration and co-creation, at the gathering and beyond 🙌🏽 Sign up: https://traditionaldreamfactory.com/signup/?referral=670be1e4ffd434fb9507a401 Event link: https://www.traditionaldreamfactory.com/events/confluencia-practicing-belonging-stewardship PS: Photo collage from my (@aaalstad) joyful stewardship journey at TDF, including The Gathering of Tribes in 2024.

Comment to 🌱 Plant seeds of positivity and to amplify good things you want to see more of for humanity and for the planet! The more we can focus and amplify positive change we can make it happen faster! I want to see a world where we start from the heart, where we create space for peace and healing all of our relations. I want to see a world where we stop extracting oil to produce single use plastic into one where we build reusable infrastructure. I want to see a world where everyone has access to clean water, food, homes and the ability to express themselves freely. COMMENT ⬇️ And let’s amplify the voices of change 🪽🌎🙏
