Digital painting study over my traditional pencils.
Final colors. ✍🏼🎨

The purpose for exaggerating the creases & wrinkles on his mask was to try and bring out an overall creepier look. After all, spiders and creepy go hand in hand, right? Though, I can also make the excuse that I might've gotten a little carried away with this piece compared to when I started it as a doodle. 😂
That said, I usually wouldn't draw Spidey like this.
Tried to go for a sunset tone like color scheme, like as if sunset light was hitting him.
The big eyes are inspired by the great @toddmcfarlane, who I consider to be the GOAT of Spider-Man artists👑 and who always drew Spidey's eyes big, so therefore I draw them big..
All of this was done freehand, no reference. .
.
I'm gradually trying to implement more & more color into my work as I usually tend to work with mostly pencil. And when it comes to comic art, I would def. consider myself a penciller, but I'm trying to expand from that..
So here's what I came up with.
Luckily digital painting provides me with almost an unlimited amount of room for error lol, so it was some good practice but still got much, much to learn.
