Full image of my tribute portrait drawing of my late cousin Fidel Jimenez Carrillo.
Rest in peace primo, nos dejaste demasiado pronto.. pero espero haberte hecho sentir orgulloso con este homenaje. Lo considero posiblemente mi mejor trabajo hasta ahora..

Drawn entirely in graphite (pencil) and eraser on 11x17 Bristol paper.

Dedicated to my aunt, uncle, cousin Alexis and everyone that was close to him.
Made with all my love.
Los amo.

Even though this is my first piece of artwork that I’ve posted in over 3 years, I can say this is possibly my best work yet.. I never say such a thing with any of my work.
But like I said previously, I also never stopped sharpening my blade during my hiatus..

More to come.

Super late post but here's my Canelo @canelo vs Golovkin @gggboxing II piece I drew in anticipation for their 2nd fight. 🤜🏻💥🔥
Should've finished this back in September but got lazy. Whatever. 😅🤷🏻‍♂️

I first drew this in December 2011 but never finished some parts like I wanted to so I went back to it these past couple of days and finally completed it. Its funny how I'm NEVER satisfied with my work but for now this'll do.

I present to you my illustration of one of the greatest, if not THE GREATEST quarterback to play in the NFL and on the 49ers, Joe Montana. by @tragick07

I wanted to share one final post in regards to my portrait drawing of my cousin (RIP).
Here’s a really quick process video that shows the entire process of the portrait drawing from the very start of the first version to the very end of the second version and where the portrait is now, in my aunt’s home in Mexico.

Drawing this tribute piece was truly a journey for me, to say the least.

Thanks for watching.

Y primo, como te he dicho.. lo quiero y ahí nos vemos..
Descansa en paz. 🙏🏼🥀

The truth about my tribute portrait to my late cousin is..
I actually drew it twice!!

This is something I was not used to doing before when I would already be further into a piece but I’ve approached a lot of things differently with my artwork this time around. And with this piece in particular I felt it was only necessary to attempt it a 2nd time.

Usually I would just continue with the 1st version of a piece & try to fix things as much as could on it. Or I would just leave it unfinished & it wouldn’t see the light of day. Sometimes I wouldn’t even be aware of my mistakes until after I was finished with a drawing and it was uploaded on to the internet. So taking a step back & paying attention to my mistakes as I go on is one of the things I’m doing differently now.

I decided to draw it a second time for several reasons..
The original was being drawn on a smaller piece of paper, & on top of that it was just sketchbook paper (2nd version was on Bristol, which is much more sturdier & at a larger scale in this case).
The original paper also sustained some damage from erasing which left some marks that might’ve not been too noticeable to others but they just ended up bothering me too much.
Thirdly, even though I was maybe 2/3 into finishing the original, something was very off with my cousin’s likeness. His face just did not look accurate at all.
I could’ve fixed that but at that point I thought it was best to restart it from scratch.

Overall, as you can see the 2nd version turned out to be by far the superior version.

All in all, the goal was to do him justice and make it as accurate as possible. On top of that, to make it my best piece of work yet, which I think I succeeded in.

Rest in peace primo. Lo quiero. 🙏🏼🥀

& If you’ve read this far, thank you for your time.

It’s been over whole 3 years since I’ve posted any artwork of any kind.. especially any pencil drawings..

But that doesn’t mean I ever stopped sharpening my blade..

I just felt like maybe I needed to step into the shadows for a bit.. for my own reasons..
But with that said, I’d also like to say that I’m finally back with some art to share.

This first piece I felt was super necessary, as it is real special to me.
Made with my blood, sweat, tears, heart and soul.
Sometimes staying up til 3 or 4 am just to make sure I was getting it right..
Drawn entirely with only graphite (pencil) and eraser..

This is a tribute to my cousin Fidel,
who suddenly passed in a terrible accident on January 28th, 2022, a year ago today.
He was only 23 years old.

While my heart breaks for him and his family, this is the least I could do.. a tribute in honor of him in the form of what I know how to do best. Dedicated to my tia, my tio, my primo Alexis, the rest of his family and the ones that were closest to him..
I hope they consider it a worthy tribute..
Los amo.

Rest in eternal peace primo.. lo quiero, y ahí nos vemos..

After 5 straight years of misery, The Empire finally returned to claim a winning season finishing with a 13-3 record and attaining the # 1 seed in the NFC playoffs.

In Kyle Shanahan's 3rd year as head coach, the Niners have not only won the NFC West Division title over bitch ass Seattle but have also claimed the NFC Conference Championship once again in another ass whoopin against Green Bay.
And now it's off to the big one in Miami.

From going 4-12 last season and Jimmy G out with an ACL injury to being SUPER BOWL BOUND this season.

This is really happening fellow Faithful!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
