CUSTOMER SHOUT OUT 🤩

This lockdown Ivane has been working on her Hollowback Pincha Mayurasana. This is a forearms inversion that requires to press the rib cage and head in between the shoulders and push the hips and weight of the legs back to stay balanced. ❤️

Ivane is wearing our Cherry shorts and Selina Black Bra

Yoga challenge - Day 9
Urdhva dhanurasana or Wheel pose

How to enter in the wheel pose : - come to lie down on your back
- bend your knees, bringing the soles of your feet onto your mat, close to the buttocks. Reach down with your fingertips and make sure that you can just graze your heels. the feet should be parallel and hips distance appart
- bend your elbows and bring the palms of your hands underneath your shoulders and hips up off the floor. Do not press all the way up yet
- bring the crown of your head to the mat. Pause here for a moment as you make sure that your elbows are staying parallel and not splaying out to the side
- straighten your arms as you lift your head off the floor
- make sure to keep your feet parallel and knees in line with your feet
- reach your chest towards the wall behind you
- begin to straighten your legs - to come down, tuck your chin into your chest and lower down slowly
Rest allowing the knees to knock together

Benefits: - improves spinal mobility - open the chest - strengthens the arms, shoulders and legs
- gives energy and lift up your mood

I am still working on this one, hence the wall :( How to enter in headstand:

- place the top of your head in between your hands
- push through your shoulders as to create a line with your lats / shoulders & triceps
- engage your core and walk your legs straightened to your body
- once you are close / straight enough bend the knees, keep them bent and bring the feet to the glutes then straighten your legs flexing your feet

Benefits: - relieves stress
- increases focus
- improves blood flow to the eyes - increases blood flow to the head and scalp
- strengthens shoulders and harms
