Wow, I can't believe that two years ago I was on my way to Duke Hospital for the night that changed my life forever. Two years ago a doctor looked at me and directed the word cancer at me. On 9/10 it was mentioned and on 9/11 I knew for a fact that I had cancer. My family and friends remained by my side during the biggest battle of my life. Well it came, we fought, and I WON! 2 years later I'm in remission and now a graduate student at ECU, studying to be a clinical mental health counselor so I can work with kids that are diagnosed. I give all the credit to God for bringing me through it and for giving me this second chance at life!
