No matter what I feel, every year it hits me harder when this day comes. What makes it harder is when my family and I took one candle, light it up and each of us saying one wish that we can say to my mom on what we would love to tell her today. Anything! ….. The hard part hearing it every wish and without a doubt, tears were dropping.

Who would have thought that I would lose my mother from 9/11 but not from that devastating day but from toxic air and aftermath of it. It’s been 4 years since you been gone . couple of years ago us finding out you was having terminal lung failure from 9/11. On that day in 2001 our mother went to work as a waitress at TGIFridays right across the street from the WTC .She was trapped in the restaurant from the building falling down. Trapped for hours till she got out and somehow made to a ferry that took her to Staten Island where we found her around 8pm that evening. But she went back to work the next day and for week’s cleaning that damn restaurant. Mom I wish you never went to work that day because I feel that if you didn’t go … you would still be with us.

We lost thousands thats day but we still losing more with 9/11 illness.

She was our rock but now our guardian angel

I’m proud to be a Survivor of a Disease I fought for 10 years plus. The pain the trauma the suffering, How it’s still affects me till this day Mentally and physically but more emotionally. But I learned how to fight and experience my battles in life. I see life so differently now. When I wake up now I take life to the fullest. Spending time with my family & friends but most of all enjoying being myself. To all those who are still fighting keep going don’t let this disease stop you from being alive. Like I always say You may have Cancer but The Cancer don’t have you.

Thank you all for being a supportive and caring about our journey.

Father God as I pray to you and I write this , I now want you to take this man with you with open arms. He was Step Father but really he was my father , who raised me and protected me. We wasn’t blood but he was. He took my mom and 3 boys and loved us and took care of us like we were his. I can still hear his loud voice of happiness. He was the Cuban of the block “ The Cubano “ well respected and fought hard for his family. I know there were times as I got older we didn’t see eye to eye and when my mother left us we ended in bad terms. But I know deep in my heart I had to be a better man ( plus I felt my mom was telling me too ) and end our disputes especially when I found out you were sick. And we did and I got to see you one more last time to tell you Thank You for Raising Me & my brothers and making me the man I am now…… and my final time to say I LOVE YOU. Now you are with our lord No more pain No more suffering. But the best part is now you are heading to see your wife our mother again and now you guys can finally dance together again. You are with your dancing queen forever.

I lost my father today and my final parent in this earth but I gain a angel who’s with my mom and protecting us from Heaven Rest in peace My Cubano 🇨🇺 🕊️💔😢

First and foremost I want to thank GOD for giving me another chance in life. I will cherish my life and blessings and will continue to inspire others to be strong and to face challenges with strength and heart

Thank you to my wife for always being there for me and being my strength. I cherish you and I will always remember that. You’re my heart & soul. My children I love you guys I battle for you. My life has been a roller coaster since 2014 . Cancer struck my life in ways you couldn’t even imagine. But I continue on and never stopped my journey to become who I am. People would tell me “ Lou Relax you need to rest “ But my answer was “ No I’m not going to stop because if I do I will die “ . I would get chemotherapy at 8am and on the same night I would rock out 2 or 3 clubs …. Who does that ??? Me that’s who , I was determined to LIVE MY LIFE and continue my goals. I never gave up NEVER GAVE UP! I seen the devil face to face but I kept my head high my chest out because I had GOD with me. People we won let me say this one more time WE WON! This Monday I’m going to ring that bell so loud that the stars in outer space will hear it. We all go through bad things in life but one thing for sure when you have god in your life … The Storm will always END and the sun will Shine once again.

Thank you Father God , Thank you Jesus Thank you to my family, Thank you to my Friends , Thank you to my Supporters and Thank You MOM & DAD as my guardian angels. I made One Year of the hardest battle of my life. To sit here and say I’M CANCER FREE is beyond words. I get to live my life again and enjoy it with my family once again, having vacation having get togethers and say I LOVE YOU more and more. GOD I’m blessed for being you son here on earth and I will never let you down. Having to blessing like being on the news and talking about my show is a dream come true , and I’m going to continue to make my dreams come true especially for my family and God up above. Thank you for giving me life once again.
