There’s nothing wrong with stepping outside your comfort zone and challenging yourself in a sport. But when it comes to competitive bodybuilding, there’s a difference between simply showing up and truly putting in the work to compete.

Bodybuilding demands discipline, sacrifice, consistency, and countless hours of blood, sweat, and tears. Losing weight and feeling good about yourself is an accomplishment worth celebrating, but that alone doesn’t mean you’ve put in the work required to be a competitive bodybuilder.

Respect the sport. Respect the process. And most importantly, respect the athletes who dedicate everything they have to bringing their absolute best to the stage.

It’s not about being the best in the room. It’s about giving everything you have to become the best version of yourself. 💪

I could’ve told myself I started too late.

I didn’t step into bodybuilding until I was 28½ years old, shortly after having my third child.

Before this, my passion was always jiu-jitsu and MMA. Years of training and competing eventually caught up to me. Injuries took away my ability to compete on the mats the way I once did.

But they never took away that fire to compete.

I found something new in bodybuilding. Something I never expected to fall in love with the way I have.

And I had every excuse not to pursue it.

Three kids. Multiple businesses. A late start. A body that’s already taken its fair share of damage.

I could’ve convinced myself it wasn’t realistic. That I missed my window. That I had too much on my plate.

Or I could shut up, put in the work, and find out how far I’m capable of going.

What I didn’t expect was how much this process would change me outside the gym.

The early mornings. The exhaustion. The depletion. Showing up for my family and businesses when I have absolutely nothing left in the tank.

It’s teaching me discipline, patience, and how to keep showing up when everything in me wants to take the easier road.

And I genuinely believe it’s making me a better man, a better husband, and a better father.

I’m still new to this sport. I have a LOT to learn and even more to improve.

But I’m not in a rush to prove I’ve made it.

I’m here to find out what happens when I refuse to stop improving.

Less than 3 weeks out. Second show. Still just getting started. 🏆

Less than 3 weeks out. Depletion time. 🥶

The food gets lower. The energy gets tested. The work doesn’t stop.

Not every day feels good. Not every workout feels strong. But none of that changes what needs to get done.

No shortcuts. No excuses. Just keep showing up and earning it.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS. ⏳🔥

Second posing session with @verocinque_110hh and I’m already making this man question what he signed up for. 😂💀

Had to cram my last two meals together just to make it to posing on time. Safe to say showing up with 240g of rice sitting in my stomach wasn’t my brightest decision. 😂🍚

All jokes aside, I appreciate the hell out of Jordan. The amount of knowledge this dude has and the attention he puts into every little detail is exactly what I needed. He’s not just telling me what to fix, he’s making sure I actually understand what I’m doing and why.

I’ve learned more in these two sessions than I realized I was missing, and we’re only getting started.

3 weeks out. Lets see what happens when you put your head down, take the criticism, and do the fucking work. 🤝🔥

Sometimes the hate we receive is so ridiculous that we can’t help but laugh 😂💀

And sometimes… we like to play into it a little just to see how worked up people get. 🤣

At the end of the day, we don’t take ourselves too seriously. If you can’t laugh at the hate, you’re missing out on some free entertainment. 🍿

Keep talking, we’re enjoying the show. 😎🔥

3 WEEKS OUT. RUN IT BACK. 😈

Already a pound lighter than my last show day weight.

Conditioning is better. Posing is sharper. Waist went from a 28 to a 26.

And we still have 3 weeks to work.

This prep has been far from perfect. But that’s the fucking point. Life doesn’t stop because you’ve got a goal. Shit goes wrong. You get tested. Things don’t always go according to plan.

None of that changes the mission.

Stay disciplined. Be precise. Make the adjustments. Trust the work you’ve put in and keep showing up even when things aren’t going your way.

I’m not chasing perfection. I’m chasing improvement. And right now, the difference is showing.

Never count yourself out. Never give up on yourself.

KEEP FUCKING GOING.

Unfinished business. ⚔️
