Seattle—and all my treasured friends here—I adore you! As I depart again, embarking upon another series of journeys, my heart is full. I look forward to being with you again in a few months! 💜

Ps: my love for Seattle is eternal although my tattoo is temporary :)

Morning Vignette.

The flowering quince cutting started to bloom and I moved it next to this trio by @melanie.biehle.art and below #ChrisEngman “The Audience” as a late Winter reminder that Spring is around the corner.

It’s been a few weeks since @lvngrm_lndscp saved this branch from the front garden and I love it with this vessel. I’m trying to make/keep a few of my own ceramics instead of settling for seconds at home.

We wrapped up an an incredible project today! A full front garden concept, design, build and install, focusing on pollinator magnets and drought tolerance species. We want to thank our clients Shannon & Seth and our GC @gmclandscapes for making this all possible. We can’t wait to see this fill in. #hawthornhouse #nurturenature

Where the magic happens, captured by @jessgarciacampos on the second day of fall 2021.

My friends over at @cura_collective have presented a lovely theme for the month that I want to share: RETURN TO YOU.

For me, in the slowness of winter, it serves as a powerful reminder to be gentle with myself. To make time for play in the studio on a foggy day. To tend to the soil and prepare for summers bounty. To make room for ease, creativity, and joy in resting and reflecting.

Does any of that resonate with you or are you just here for the pottery? You can have both.

Enceladus ceramic basket for Series 001, 6.75” H x 13” W. Named after Saturn’s “Ocean Moon” of liquid salty water beneath an icy crust.

#Series001 is a pop-up gallery inside a former factory. One of the last industrial places in South Lake Union, the building is destined for demolition and we are occupying this liminal space with art, and place-making for artists.

Breakfast pizza, fall edition. House guanciale, pecorino, fresh mozzarella, onion, basil and chives from the yard. Oven at a respectable morning temp of 575F since last night’s crew hit a pizza wall and had to call it early to save room for some outstanding homemade ice cream (courtesy of @dickhardt ).

An outstanding weekend catching up with college friends from 3 decades ago. We had the good fortune to find each other back then and the good sense to keep in touch over the years. Last night was a gathering with #woodfiredpizza, which was not so much a thing in St. Louis in the late 80s and early 90s.

Enjoying a #breakfastpizza fired at nearly 600 F of residual heat. The #woodfiredoven continues to rack up great memories.

Staying cool in the 100° shade.

Naos tumblers, part of the new summer collection. They are named after the hot, luminous blue supergiant star, visible to the naked eye, located in the constellation Puppis. The name is also Greek for ship.

@goodpop for scale.
