Pitches & Ponytails 🏟️🎀

This week, we welcomed dads and male carers to Molineux to learn simple ponytails, plaits and everyday hair care techniques, helping build confidence in caring for their children’s hair. 👱‍♀️

🌸We had THE most special Maven Mixer on Friday as Community Maven Award Winner 2026🦩 Maddie of @creative_studio_art came to show us how to create a Community Mural and wow it was so special, we chatted together, got to know each other more & shared a love for painting and creating.
Thank you Maddie from all of us, you were brilliant and we loved it - let’s do something again soon 💚🎨

To everyone who came thank you too and if you didn’t make it don’t worry we’ll keep the creative juices flowing at future mixers!

We’re currently a bit obsessed with this hair tinsel…huge thanks yet again to @trenza_braidbar for tinselling the hair of our cheeky Ronnettes and those evil vines 🌱 We know a few of our teachers who are aiming to get tinselled for the summer… 🌈

We have the inimitable Trenza braid bar with us all summer! What’s not to love! @trenza_braidbar .

From Sunday the 19th of July, they will be with us each weekend, Saturday and Sunday.

You will book through Trenza so please DM them directly for the booking link.

They will be doing braids and hair tinsel, in the West Collaboration pop up studio, over looking the cathedral grounds.

The dads understood the assignment. 👏🤍

This week we hosted our second Pints & Ponytails with @trenza_braidbar and what a brilliant evening it was! 🍻

A huge thank you to every dad who came along, got stuck in and gave it their all. From mastering ponytails to tackling braids (with varying degrees of confidence!), the effort, laughter and memories made the evening so special. ✨

It was also incredibly exciting to have ITV News there capturing the evening and shining a light on such a lovely community event. We can’t wait for it to air! 💫

A huge thank you to Raz and her lovely team @trenza_braidbar for another fantastic collaboration, we already can’t wait for the next one! 🫶
