Artist news | Marcin Dudek & TR Ericsson

An amazing new exhibition at The Warehouse, Dallas!

Curated by Simone Krug, “In Our Image: The Fragile Body in Contemporary Art” brings works from different cultural contexts into conversation. It looks at the vulnerable body as a stage for the self and a reflection of society.

On view through January 30, 2027.

Great to see Marcin and Tom’s work brought into this conversation, alongside such a great group of artists.

If you’re in Dallas, don’t miss this one.

Marcin Dudek, “Akumulator”, 2013 to 2018. Collection of Marguerite Steed Hoffman

TR Ericsson, “Magic Kingdom” from the “Crackle & Drag” series, 2015. Collection of Marguerite Steed Hoffman and The Rachofsky Collection

TR Ericsson @trericsson is an American artist whose work raises questions about art, the afterlife, family, and the bond we have with our ephemeral selves and materials. Often bathed in an elegiac half-light and referencing the death of his mother and the reliquary of her objects and her ash, Ericsson's work asks humility when addressing it, and it is not surprising that it affects as many people as it does: all those who have lost, and all those who persist. He has donated a nicotine-developed screen print to the collection, as well as the screen itself for the archive. This pairing of process-related material and final print makes an incredible addition from an artist I find inspiring and human.

Autumn lineup: Liberalism into Wet Conceptualism — the most -isms we’ve ever willingly admitted to.

All jokes aside, we’re excited to share the programme ahead, and look forward to seeing you in Brussels, Dallas, and Miami soon.

Im honored to be participating in the print fundraiser to support The Center for Print and Collaborative Arts @cpca.studio in Columbus!

Info about CPCA and their fundraising goals:

* Online Print Sale Fundraiser
* April 9 - May 11

After a long year of construction, permit delays, and endless behind-the-scenes problem solving, we are finally in the home stretch! We’ve secured the approvals we need, construction is moving forward, and we are now about 6 weeks away from reopening our doors in June.

To help carry us through this final stretch, over 65 artists have generously contributed images for this special print sale fundraiser, which is now live.

Each work is available as an unsigned open-edition photographic print for $150, printed in-house in CPCA’s digital lab on paper generously donated by @mpex_photo_video and @fotospeed . The proceeds directly support the final phase of construction, including contractor payments, electrical and HVAC completion, life-safety and ADA upgrades, and the last details needed to make this place a sustainable and welcoming space for everyone.

Thank you for helping bring our community art space across the finish line. We cannot wait to welcome you in!

* Follow, share and purchase a print! Browse the full fundraiser at the link in bio.

Our @cpca.studio print fundraiser is now live, through May 11. The Center for Print and Collaborative Arts is a very important, grassroots, artist-run community space for us here in Columbus. This sale will help CPCA to complete the final phase of construction in our new building, allowing us to reopen on June 1. I’m sharing my contribution here along with a handful of others I love. Thank you to everyone who contributed from near and far…Find many more at the link in my bio or columbusprintedarts.com 🌱

Ever notice how every press release mentions how many solo shows an artist has had?

It’s not just context.

This week in Viewing Rooms, we talk through what that line is really telling you.

Two art advisors. One viewing room. Thinking out loud.

Have you ever wondered why every single exhibition press release mentions this detail?
