P15 in World Cup 3! 0.41s out of the final with a +2s penalty! 😩🤌🏽

This one’s been brewing for a while, but frustrating having a clear mistake through gates 8-9 costing 1.5-2s and a gate touch being so close to the final.

Pretty cool to pick up another PB and NZ best 💪🏽

We have a new resource on the way, helping with advice on when and how to sample unusual symptoms and signs of disease on-orchard.

With the help of the team at @trevelyanspcl – and their top notch acting skills – we were out earlier this week, putting together a video that will be out soon to show how, with the ongoing assistance of KVH, you can check, collect, and dispatch samples that will provide the best chance of accurate and timely results.

Keep an eye out for this new resource coming soon. It’s a simple, practical tool to help you act quickly and confidently if something doesn’t look right in your orchard.

We’re proud to welcome Trevelyan’s as our newest Platinum Trail Sponsor!

From humble beginnings as a family business, @trevelyans has grown into a large, and thriving packhouse and orchard management company; recognised for its kiwifruit and avocado expertise, fantastic workplace culture, and genuine commitment to sustainability.

As a values-based business, Trevelyan’s is guided by three principles of working smart, treading lightly, and respecting its people- this combination underpins its continued growth and long-term success, and are standards that strongly align with our own.

We’re excited to have their support on the ‘cliffhanger trail’ and look forward to the positive impact this partnership will bring to our community.

⚡🌿 ECO-TOUR #3 | ENERGY, INNOVATION & SUSTAINABILITY 🌿⚡

Our Toi Ki Tua interns wrapped up the final Eco-Tour of the series with a full day focused on energy, innovation, and sustainability exploring how organisations across Tauranga Moana are engaging with energy and operational systems in different ways.
From automation and decarbonisation initiatives at Trevelyans, to the direct utilisation of low-temperature geothermal energy at Mount Hot Pools, interns were given a behind-the-scenes view of how systems, technology, and energy choices shape modern operations.

What stood out wasn’t just the technology, but the thinking behind it. Seeing how automation is used in practice (and where its limits sit), how waste is reduced, and learning that geothermal energy exists right here in Tauranga Moana sparked thoughtful kōrero about trade-offs, resilience, and future opportunity.

This Eco-Tour series is about more than site visits. It’s about:
• Building understanding of the local economy in action from a Māori lens
• Seeing sustainability beyond theory
• Encouraging Interns to think critically about innovation, risk, and opportunity
• Connecting learning to real-world challenges and future pathways

Ngā mihi nui to our hosts on an epic day out!
