It has already been four years of Detroit Reawakening, I wanted to do something for the occasion and I remembered I wanted to redraw the last shot of our group together so I finally did it! (After four years lol)

But I want to this to show my appreciation for the project that led me to meet so many wonderful people, and bring me out of my artblock because of how creative and passionate everyone is! It was a fun journey, and I hope I’m able to tag along for more things to come :D

Happy fourth years, Detroit Reawakening.

Review: “Detroit: Evolution” (2020)

Set a year after Markus freed the androids of Detroit, this fan made continuation of Detroit: Become Human builds a story that feels both intimate and expansive. The focus shifts to Nines, the most advanced android ever created, as he navigates the conflict between programmed logic and newfound emotion. What unfolds is a compelling mix of romance and sci-fi, exploring what it truly means to evolve beyond one’s design.

What makes “Detroit: Evolution” so special isn’t just the storyline, it’s the heart behind it. Born out of fan passion and brought to life through crowdfunding, this independent film stands as a testament to community driven creativity. Director and writer Michelle Iannantuono delivers something that not only respects its source material but dares to go deeper into themes of identity, love, and liberation.

Despite its modest budget, the production value shines. The performances from Maximilian Koger, Christopher Trindade, and Jillian Geurts carry both warmth and intensity, balancing the human and artificial in a surprisingly touching way. The chemistry feels real, the pacing deliberate, and the emotional resonance undeniable.

At its core, “Detroit: Evolution” proves that with enough heart and collaboration, fan projects can rival studio films in storytelling depth. It’s a love letter, to the fans, to the characters, and to the idea that evolution is more than code; it’s connection.

"I love you, don't worry about it."

The reunion kiss, with bonus surprised face because it was too good not to include.
