My first anime!
This was back in 2022!
Pompo The Cinephile from @gkidsfilms
Dubbed by @nyavpost
Dubbed directed again by the incomparable @2sheh

This was a dream come true. Still grateful for @2sheh teaching me and directing me. It was such a safe, creative, fulfilling space. And it was entirely recorded on my laptop in a closet I had turned into a booth🤣 there were no lamps in this closet.

Anywho!! This has been out for a while and now it is immortalized in IG glory😆

There is a deep sense of relief that comes with crying over a piece of good theatre. It's not just the adoration or pride in knowing the performers. It's this permission to celebrate or grieve or whatever it is you've got brewing. You can let it out. That's what I feel when I watch these three women perform.

My partner @katie_duiven (center) and her castmates @singingtomato (left) and @madeleine.vanderwell (right) sing Soft Place To Land from Waitress, accompanied by David Armbrecht on acoustic guitar, at an event for their theatre before their actual show.

These women are currently bringing the house down on Thursday nights in Waitress at The Civic Theatre in Grand Rapids. This New Yorker🙋🏼‍♂️ (and Bostonian) is very jealous that Michigan gets their talents all to itself for the entire run. Thankfully, this glimpse into their performance exists, and you can all see it. If you're inspired to come see the full show in Michigan, hit me up 🤘🏻 I'll be at every one😁

Meantime, I hope you get a chance to cry over good theatre like this. May we all be so lucky. by @trindabago

To my partner of nearly 3 years, I love you.

You care.
You really care about everyone.
You can't help but help.
You activate at the needs of others.
Unconsciously.
Every day.

Never doubt your contributions to the greater good. I've lived just long enough to know that not everyone cares like you care.

It is one of the many things that make you special, and it is something that is felt by all who know you.

I see your efforts every day.
You are tireless.

So take a nap. Have some snacks. Be held by those who love you.

Everyone can rest a little easier at night knowing that people still care.
You are here.

Happy birthday, my love. by @trindabago

THE VIDEO GAME BLOG IS ALIVE!! Link in bio🤓

Passion project? Or procrastination project? Hard to tell sometimes, but I really felt drawn to do this. I love video games both as an art form and a hobby. I play in order to think critically about them and so I can decompress from the general stress it takes just to exist. I've put a lot of work into these reviews. I hope you'll enjoy reading them. But, more importantly, I hope that, one day, you'll have a long, nerdy conversation with me about the games you love to play and why.

Please, enjoy. Thank you🙏🏼

An even bigger thank you to @sarahmo_jo for her patience and editing expertise.
Thank you to @carolinamanent for designing the website.
Thank you to @lonelion_924 for their artwork.
And, last but not least, thank you to my partner @katie_duiven for always encouraging me and for loving me despite how much I fart. ❤️ That's love, babyyyy! by @trindabago

Unxboxing new-old titles from @dkoldies !!

Also, looks like the audio transcriber can do every word except "Wii", "Mii-verse", and my last name 😆 the latter is giving me delightful flashbacks to grade school.

This was also my first attempt at this kind of video. How'd we do? by @trindabago

This is a fake ad for ketchup. Eat ketchup. It's good for you. Put it right on the spoon and shove it up your face. Do it. You won't. Loser.

Lol, okay. This is a shot from my session with @portraitsofpower_ aka Harley Yeagar with makeup by @bgjaramillo.beauty aka Brenda Garcia Jaramillo. It makes me feel good about myself, so I'm framing it here in the palm of your hand. You weren't using this space anyway.

From @surgentstudios and @abzysalim comes Tales of Kenzera: Zau!

I had so much fun exploring this game. I'm actually gonna be attempting my first podcast episode about it. Very excited.

Also, be sure to check out this dev teams social media. They have so much great content on how and why they built this game. So cool to see the curtain pulled back on such an intimate creative process. In particular, go watch their short film "My Shoes, Your Feet" on YouTube!

"We make fishing...fun!"

A bold promise, my friends, but one that is ultimately fulfilled! From developer @blacksaltgames DREDGE is a rare beast. A lovecraftian open-world fishing RPG, with excellent exploration and a secret ending worth seeking out.

Though its story isn't quite as deep as the depths themselves, Dredge deftly immerses players within both its mysteries and its simple yet addictive gameplay loop.

Verdict:
PLAY THIS GAME.
