Ser musa también significa dejar que alguien más interprete quién eres.

Me encanta cuando la moda deja de ser simplemente “ponerse un look” y se convierte en una conversación entre diseñadora, modelo, maquillaje, fotografía y dirección creativa.

En Panamá tuve la oportunidad de entrar en el universo de Trinity Rose desde un lugar muy especial: ella no solo había diseñado un outfit, había construido una versión de mí desde su propia mirada.

Y después vino el reto de llevar esa visión a escena.

El resultado fue intenso, extraño, femenino, guerrero y definitivamente imposible de ignorar.

At Sheena Rose Inc., we believe in investing in people and their ideas. This year, we supported five Caribbean creatives, each receiving a USD $500 / BDS $1,000 grant towards their creative development.

MELISSA HOWELL — RESEARCH & SYSTEMS
A Barbadian- Guyanese systems strategist and founder of Data Diasporas. Melissa’s grant supports research in Saint Lucia exploring Kwéyòl, memory, language and the relationship between communities and systems.

STEPHAN MARSHALL — PHOTOGRAPHY
A Barbadian photographer and previous recipient, Stephan’s grant supports SPANISH INSOMNIA, his upcoming debut solo photography exhibition.

ASHLEIGH “LEIGH” PHILLIPS — MUSIC & CREATIVE PRODUCTION
A Grenadian-Barbadian multidisciplinary creative working across music, songwriting, events and production. Leigh’s grant supports a new visual identity ahead of her 2027 projects.

SIMON PIPE — MUSIC & SOUND
A Barbadian musician and composer. Simon’s grant supported research in Dominica for Quiet Path and Breathing In Bath, exploring music, meditation, sound and the natural environment.

TRINITY ROSE — FASHION & FILM
An award-winning Barbadian designer and filmmaker. Trinity’s grant supported her participation in the 2026 Sustainable Fashion of the World event in Panama, representing Barbados.

We are proud to support these five individuals and look forward to seeing their work develop. As Sheena Rose Inc. grows, we look forward to supporting more creatives across the Caribbean.
