POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Stopped by the @notoriousfire shop today, to pick up my merch for some raffle items.

I’ll be donating these items at the @pnwfireconference and the @oldsouthfools fire summit!

Lenny from Notorious Fire Co. and I have been friends for a long time.

I love seeing how far he’s come with his business.

Lenny is the true OG in this field for this type of artwork. He produces merchandise for various companies and brands in and out of the fire service.

I’m excited to be able to attend both of these conferences and donating these items is just a small way of saying thank you.

I can’t wait to see all of you in Washington and in Mississippi, make sure to visit Notorious Fire Co. and Engine House Designs, check out my shop while you’re at it!

“So shines a good deed in a weary world”

Chief Gordon has seen a lot and has done a lot in his career in the fire service.

The most important thing that he values over anything…is family.

Throughout his travels and speaking engagements, he talks about the importance of family and doing the right thing for them.

Chief Gordon met a young man who needed a family more than anything.

His wife saw that before anyone else and they developed a bond that blossomed into them becoming a family.

It wasn’t easy…they had their ups and downs…but through love, patience and determination they all came through it better on the other side.

Rodney is in the Marines, promoted multiple times and is currently working on his Law degree…his goal is to become the First Black Governor for the state of Texas!

Thank you Chief, for being so open and raw with your experiences.

Dylan Brown of @theunmaskedfiremen hits on what motivates him and keeping his message organic.

Passion and enthusiasm for this profession cannot be forced.

You can crap out plenty of catchy hooks and phrases every day, but is it really YOU?

Dylan is definitely the real deal and I certainly appreciate his honesty and work ethic.

I had the privilege of taking a search class taught by Street Smart Tactics.

During the last evolution of the day, I had the opportunity to have a quick chat with Arthur Ashley, the man behind the training company.

Arthur talks at his “Why” and that you can never train enough.

Arthur and his cadre have decades of true street knowledge and experience.

They put all of their knowledge, expertise and skill to create this search class.

The students were all very happy with the education and hands on training that they received.

Thank you to Chief Jason Bangma for making this possible.

If your department faced a Line of Duty Death tomorrow, would you know what happens next?

When tragedy happens, there’s no time to start figuring out the process.

Departments need to understand what comes next, from PSOB and beneficiary designation to local, state, and federal benefits, and the importance of documenting exposures and incidents before they’re needed.

At Fire & Foliage, Mark Klose will walk through the preparation that can make a difference when your department and your people need it most.

Because being prepared for a LODD isn’t about expecting tragedy.

It’s about making sure you’re not trying to figure it out in the middle of one.

Man…no deep message needed.

Dylan Brown of @theunmaskedfiremen really hit it with this interview.

Dylan definitely is an old soul, he is well grounded and tuned into the environment around him.

He really hits on being humble…staying focused on you and what you can control.

I really enjoyed having this conversation with Dylan and listening to how humble he is even with all of his accomplishments.

Leadership has a way of exposing the things you still need to work on. Not every weakness comes from a bad place. Sometimes it’s a good intention that needs better balance. The goal isn’t to have it all figured out. It’s to be aware enough to recognize when you’re getting in your own way, adjust, and keep becoming a better officer for your people.

I love being able to talk with students who are dialed in and hungry to learn.

I had the pleasure to run through search evolutions with these two young bucks from the Bellingham Fire Department and my homie Jon Muncey who I work with.

All three were rocks stars during this training event.

I always enjoy getting first hand feedback from the students who attend these events.
It’s so crucial to know how the students are performing and receiving the information from the instructors.

All of the students performed exceptionally well and were incredibly happy with the training that they received.

Thanks to the Brothers from Bellingham Fire, for letting me run some search’s with you. 🫵😎

Check out Street Smart Tactics if you’re interested in learning more about what they can offer to you or your department.

Can’t thank Chief Jason Bangma enough for hosting this event 😉👍.

I’m extremely proud of this young man.
He dove head first…literally into a 2 day training event.

He had a positive and healthy attitude towards learning and obtaining new skills for our profession.

It was great to watch him enjoy the company of other like minded individuals.

When I asked if he wanted to come with me to a training event about search, he didn’t hesitate to answer yes!

I really enjoyed working along side of Jon and working hard to accomplish our goal for the evolution.

I felt an immense amount of pride when I happened to look over and watch Jon working with others through their evolution, they all worked so well together, they were aggressive, driven and used their new skills effectively.

One of the best moments is when he told me…”I want to bring these skills back to our department and share them with our younger guys.”

THIS KID GETS IT. 🫵😎
Thanks Jon for hanging out with the old dude…I had a blast!
