The last race of the year is done! What a season it’s been! 🤩

@triullis and I finished 2nd at the ÖTILLÖ World Series Final, and I’m ending 3rd in the Elite Ranking!

I was lucky I raced with Ullis today, because I was down for the count more than once…26–27°C in the water and the same on land was the perfect recipe for dehydration 🫠

Race report coming in a few days 👌🏻

ÖTILLÖ Cannes — the finale of the European season and the ÖTILLÖ Elite season is here! 🇫🇷

More than 800 participants from 36 different nations will come together in Cannes across the World Series, Sprint and Experience races.

World Championship podium finishers and some of the strongest pairings of the season will line up for one final showdown.

And there is even more at stake this year.
With double Elite points on the line, the rankings are still wide open, with only a few points separating the athletes at the top. One strong result in Cannes could change everything.

Here are some of the teams to watch this Saturday — alongside many other strong pairings on the start line.

ÖTILLÖ Swimrun Cannes - World Series, Sprint and Experience - 3rd of October

See you there or follow the races live on @otillorace social media.

Part 1: The two weeks leading up to the race were anything but ideal.
First, I got sick for a week, which meant we had to cancel our final race/training session at Skatås Sjöar.
Once I was finally feeling relatively healthy again, I got severe back pain. Walking was difficult and running was almost impossible. A few days before the race, I wasn’t even sure I would be able to do my part — helping with the running. Not exactly the preparation I had hoped for. Next part in the comments
